Gift Box Crochet Ornament Tutorial [rectangle version]

Hey Y'all! It's Alex from ‪@YouShouldCraft‬ , here with a super cute, super easy crochet ornament pattern -- a rectangular gift box. This pattern is from my "Pretty Present Ornament" collection, which also features a square version of the ornament.
They're not just ornaments though! You could also use your crocheted gift boxes in holiday garlands or as Christmas gift toppers.
The Pretty Present ornament pattern is almost entirely made of single crochet (sc) stitches, so it's beginner-friendly if you're a newer crocheters. It's also an excellent stash-buster, since it uses less than 40 total yards of yarn.

These are so adorable. This is the first holiday season in years that i didn't make little ornaments as gifts, it was just a crazy busy time. I have so much scrap yarn that these are perfect. Even though Christmas has passed for this year i'm still in the holiday mood and besides, I can always get a head start for next year. 🙂
