Congratulations on finding a very low hour clean Gleaner R 65 Combine
It's too bad they didn't make their drivetrain stronger on those tractors. International had a reputation of the rear ends getting ripped out. They expected the MFWD to take up part of this strain of the drive train.
Gran video gracias por compartir y bonitas maquinas gleaner aqui en mexico un vecino tenia un gleaner M2 pero no pudo conseguir refacciones y lo chatarrizo ahorita tiene 7720 titan
To get a more accurate reading you need the hydraulic oil reservoir full to the top of the cooling coil. oil temp needs to be in the green and RPMS at the "540" nark. if your RPMs are not on 540, the reading on the gauge will be inaccurate. I spent way too much time learning exactly how these work having to rebuild my dyno. I found that 30-50 degrees in oil temp can throw the reading off 5ish hp too. if you want to read the HP at different RPM's you need the slide rule that came with the Dyno's new. Great video though!
Made in East moline. The plant my dad and grandpa retired from.
T T we had John Deere planter that had drive chains on the wheels. The tension sprockets were spring loaded. It was easy to take the drive chains off the wheel sprockets. When we moved the planter. May be that would help you. (Tied the chains up with baler wire! )
These aren’t easy to remove at all. They run inside a cover shield that’s 6’ long under the drill. No good way to undo them.
I thought you were a fan of Cyrus? Now you are a fan of Jerome!
I like big western open station tractors. Doesn’t really matter the color.
We ran 4 Massey 550s in the 80s cutting wheat in N.C Kansas
That’s a lot to keep running.
@@tmonteIH Good Times
@@tmonteIH I used to haul cows with a guy by Tmonte
So Rare!! Super cool!! Hopefully you’ll restore it or sell it to someone who will
Tractor restoration is a joke. Just a shiny paint job for most guys. I’ll get it mechanically sound and put it back to work.
One of my dream tractors. Being from the quad cities and my dad and grandpa both retired from the East Moline plant, I’d love to have a 1468 v8 made in Rock Island. Sadly East Moline plant is completely gone and the Farmall plant only has part of the warehouse, and the corporate offices across the street left
Not a bad looking tractor. Shake topart it out
You have a Gem there!
It really is. Going to be a great local haul workhorse.
Now I wanna see you drag some old Dempster drills out of the weeds! My family planted wheat in northeast Colorado for years using those things! We had four or five of them ganged together…they were a massive pain in the ass to move.
I’ve seen the dempster drills before but never looked any over. Anytime you had to move hoe drills hitched together it was always a pain in the ass. Dad worked for a farm in Colby in college and pulled 80’ of IH drills behind a 4366.
I do have a question about your 1370 was it white because most of the 1370s add air cleaners on them just like the all the others put the newer 1370 did not have air cleaners on them English complete under the hood
It has been tan its whole life. It’s a 1973 model built right before they became white in 1974
@@tmonteIH thank you because I have a 1972 870 desert sunset
@@davidclevenger4485 your welcome. Used to have a 71 870 & 69 1070. Still have a 72 970 gear drive I use on my machinery lot.

Not yet. There will be video when there is progress.
Sounds like the old girl runs pretty good. I worked for a guy back in the late 70's who had all Case tractors. He had a 1070, 870, 930, 830 and a DC. The DC had a F10 loader on it. That was an awkard combination since the hand clutch and the controls were all on the left side.
And I’m sure you didn’t have enough hands either.
That looked like alot of fun nice video
Thanks. It was great fun.
Working in the rain! Put the cab back on!!!!
I’ll pass. A lot more fun without it.
I 1st time i saw a Agri King it was at the Kansas State Fair in 1973. I still think they are the sharpest thing going !!!!
They have incredible style. Especially in tan.
Great to see the 1370 in action.
Thanks. It has been a lot of fun getting it back in the field and using it.
Those 504’s were outstanding engines!
Hard to beat for sure
When I went to buy my 1070 everyone tried to talk me out of it.. prior to the 1070 I had alot of time in a 2470 and a 2670 case. I knew the powershifts and clutch and all those issues... I didn't listen to the nah sayers. I have had 0 issues and being in western ny it starts with no either or boosted pack at 10 degrees out . Always starts right up and goes right to work . Shifts smooth , hydro pumps smooth. I really do love it. I'm the 2nd owner of it and she gets treated well. It's like retirement for the Ole girl. Yours looks hell a cool with a open station !!
It’s a fun tractor. I’d like an 1170/1175 open station next.
CASE POWER! Hard to beat a 1370, they are great machines.
@@don66hotrod94 they don’t get the love they deserve in my opinion.
That’s the exact same tractor that gave me tractor fever. Lol. Back in 1975 when I was 6 years old my dad would borrow our neighbors 1370 and disk and plant wheat in our fields for our stockers. The neighbors 1370 was also a 73 model and was that peach color. He was a really good neighbor and person. I’ve always liked those cases from that era, but there hasn’t been any case dealers around here in many many years. I saw one sale a few years ago at auction in Thayer Kansas that brought a little bit more than 6000 dollars with a pretty fresh complete transmission rebuild and I think he said a pretty recent engine major. It sounded really good. I went to buy a chisel, but I should’ve bought that tractor. 6000 wouldn’t touch the parts for the engine and transmission, let alone the labor. I think a dealer did the work, and I’m pretty sure he had the receipts. Could’ve should’ve!
You can pretty quickly dump $10k into a case transmission that’s for sure. This one seems to be super strong thankfully. It’s been a pleasure to run.
@@tmonteIH I believe that. I’ve heard some stories of guys tearing them up by clutching them in road gear instead of down shifting all the way down. I’m pretty sure that’s what they said happened. One was an early 1370 similar to yours and the other was a 2390. that’s definitely a nice looking and sounding tractor you have. I really like it as an open station. I’ve covered many acres on open tractors and I’ve breathed and ate lots of dirt!! lol. Great video!
Great footage hoss, the ole Agri-King open station puttin in work, if that doesn’t get ya going, not much will. Thanks for keeping it old school…y’all take care 🇺🇸
It’s a lot of fun to run
The 1370 and 1570 were good workhorses on farms locally. AL B.
We had a great dealer locally back in the day. Still plenty of 70 & 90 series Case tractors being used around here.
Looks like you are loving your 1370 ??
It’s a great tractor.
Seed bed PREP? Just looked a bit RUFF? No hate just curious.
@@HFarms1955 wasn’t as SMOOTH as I would’ve liked but not enough hours in a day to make 4 tillage passes to get thinks perfect. Once with a disk and another with a fallowmaster was all we could do.
@@tmonteIH Im reading what your writing bud!! Same here sometimes. I just like a smooth seedbed when possible. Again no hate!! Regards from Michigan, hope you have a safe and bountiful harvest !! I also subbed, love them old tractors!👍🍻
Why are you planting and growing Sudan grass? Just curious.

I was shocked how could the tires were too.
N6 was a dream machine for me 630 corn header and a 20foot bean header but land got crazy in my area I love watching the L series
I’ve never been near an N series. Would like to mess with one.
well equiped! i like to drill whit a smaller tractor , appart the dust (no cab) it is easyer to jump out and it turn in a better radius...
This 1370 is pretty nimble for what it is.
Not a bad looking tractor for a salvage unit.
