I listened to this songs for months without even looking at the lyrics. I just recently dove into in to the lyrics and I never realized how devastating this song actually was.

I have to assume he saw his mom standing in that road that night and saw the man in that trailer I get it

I've never had a single song singlehandedly change my perception of an artist quite like this one. The first two songs I heard were the Sellout and Rockstar ones through radio and I hated it because it's the two things I hate about both genres, hickhop and buttrock. Knowing he's got more of a satirical side made me do a complete 180 on him xD

One of my fav country artist ever!

Chase did an interview about the song. He said a friend of his was about to kill himself and as he picked the gun up, his dog went over an laid his head on his lap and stopped him. The lil boy is also named Danny, and Chase's father's name is Daniel, so it made the video that much more emotional (to me anyway lol). The video has won various awards, including from Cannes.
