I wouldn’t call this “huge”. I was expecting at least the new game+, maybe a little free dlc with few missions just to thank all the fans who bought the game in the past year. Sadly PlayStation players will have just a pair of cosmetic things…

About that Sirius being able to purchase a broomstick plothole I always assumed it's just that the Goblins didn't really care who they're doing business with, whether it's a famous mass murderer, a dark wizard or just ordinary wizarding folk. They see them as customers and business companions, and don't look to get involved in the wizard politics in any way. Don't forget even the good wizards already viewed Goblins as subordinate beings in comparison. So Sirius was able to withdraw gold from his vault at Gringott's and probably sent the required amount to the local Firebolt dealer with an owl using a pseudonym who then sent it to him or straight to Harry. At least it would make some sense.

A new game plus would have been nice.

It just sucks when u think I preorder on PlayStation so 4 out of 6 things I already had at launch. I get photo mode and some new clothes/broom. I get it it's a small update but yrs and half and we got new cosmetics and a way to take photos I could already do by doing a screenshot with my controller lol.

I think they need to not just take a piece of their soul, but a piece of their own physical body. To even take it one grotesque step further, the eat their own part of their body. It’s beyond cannibalism. It’s self cannibalism. You really have to be committed.

A welcomed update, but also a very small update. Was hoping for two things especially: ability to sit and more player character slots. There are other playable things I would've liked and I do have an extensive wish list. The cauldron shop at Hogsmeade selling cauldrons. More RoR and vivarium decorative items (fireplace, interactive drink and food, floating candles at the ceiling, vivarium objects usable in the RoR.)

This game was severely underwhelming for me to play…. And I’m the kind of guy who slogs for hours in games like TESV: Skyrim and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It needs…. More. It needs to be more closely related to the universe we are all so fond of. I was majorly disappointed that Hogwarts Legacy didn’t really have anything to do with Harry Potter at all. HP as in the story and not just the character.

Well thought out video! The only part I disagree with is the next dark wizard. I don't think a major "dark lord" individual would be the threat that appears, but instead like our world today, the biggest threat would be an ultra divided society with part going overboard on liberal agendas, part going overboard on conservative agendas, and the revenue-hungry media constantly doing their best to scare and infuriate their viewing base so that the separation becomes worse and worse. You think the Daily Prophet was bad during the time of Fudge's influence? The wizarding world will have become addicted to the 24-hour news cycle just as the muggle world has, and there will be many more media sources. They may not be using TV or the Internet, but they will get into the ears and minds of wizards, and the same enmity would be the result. Get ready for the Voldemort deniers.

6:35 it always confused me that hagrid was caretaker for magical creatures on the grounds of Hogwarts / a temporary teacher at one point / on several occasions served as Harry's personal taxi (sirius's flying motorcycle) since he was placed in the care of the dursleys as a child etc. etc. never once went to another wand maker and purchased a new wand

Already have the sony exclusive content for a long time on my pc. Have a potion to reset talent points. Have beter looking brooms and dragons to ride. If only they would have made improvements to make your female character look like an actual female! Now that I would have appreciated. I bought the game and I play a hacked version to play it the way I want, not how they want it to be played. No steam or other platform dictating me to update.

I'd like to see flying carpets as a new mount. I know they're banned in Britain in Harry's time, but this is a century earlier and according to Crouch Sr, the embargo is relatively recent.

One thing to consider, is that for a practiced wizard, snapping their wand does not strip them of the ability to practice magic. They can potentially get a new wand. Ron's wand broke in Chamber of Secrets, but he was still able to continue using magic and got a new wand the following year. Harry's wand broke in Book 7, but he earned the allegience of Draco's wand (as well as the Elder Wand) and was able to continue using magic as well. The snapping of a wand is thus more symbolic then anything. For Hagrid, it was a greater effect because his half-giant nature meant he was unlikely to get accepted elsewhere in the magical community to acquire a new wand or resume his education. Had he been a normal human, particularly of a magical family, he likely could have gotten a new wand and applied to a school in another region. Also keep in mind that prison is typically intended for rehabilitation, assuming the inmate will be due for release eventually. After serving their time, they should have thier rights restored, including their ability to practice magic, so snapping their wand would not be appropriate.
