Downsized to a condo 6 1/2 years ago. 900 square feet. Nice patio, w/d in unit, walk in closet, dishwasher, full size appliances & open concept. Great size, lots of light. Her apartment is like a hotel room. Ok now, 10:20 but too small and claustrophobic. Not long term.

This is an encouraging message for me as I am trying to move back to East Coast, specifically Brooklyn or other nearby NYC areas, like NJ, Hudson Valley or Ct. The rental market has changed so much from when I came many years ago, and even since I left 12 years ago. It's expensive, fast and competitive. And I'm older than you- middle aged+ - so it feels especially daunting.

i would of added a big sofa chair there. the mirror is amazing.
