Another excellent video and really interesting to hear about how you got published in The Times. Your article was really interesting, this video puts it in perspective.
I have had three articles published, all around 1500 words, in a UK photographic magazine reviewing camera equipment. It's impossible to overstate how much a good editor or in my case a subeditor can improve your writing by skilful editing. I'm writing on Substack about my time at the BBC and it's difficult because it's personal and a lifetime ago, your ability to talk freely and openly about your experiences, some incredibly personal is an inspiration to me. So thank you and I look forward to reading your posts and watching your videos.

A belated congratulations, Jess! 🎉🖋️ I never thought that I’d ever try to pitch to magazines but as someone who has some writing chops (but I don’t actively write) and a few photographs that I’m proud of, I’ve also pitched to a few magazines before and gotten no response. But your story is a reminder that we have ideas and dreams for a reason and that the way your dreams manifest are often by surprise. And yes, success is scary! I was flailing in life until my autism diagnosis (we had an exchange on your substack about this) and have since quit my job, started a CZcams channel, and feel so positive about the future. I’ve even had one video do quite well 😅 so far

Great vlog Jessica…. I do have a question for you, with the new regulations with Brexit how do you get around staying more than the 90 days rule? Does that mean that you will then have to come back to the UK for three months and then go out again?
I have to have a visa to live here else you can only stay 90 days then have to return to UK to top up your allowance
