I've also had absurd connectivity issues- namely, you can't power cycle them and expect to still connect or re-pair them. Pretty disappointing overall, definitely got ripped off with this. They make it near impossible to get money back too in their policies, so be warned. Too many people are giving negative reviews to take a chance, imo. I was just stupid.

Hello I have 3 bathroom that use regular 3 switches. 2 of the 3 switches control the mirror light and ceiling lights. The 1 switch control the fan (not a ceiling fan). Does your product work in each of my bathroom and what product should I get?

For anyone watching this video today, I did see that Apple has since updated Watch OS to add Homekey support to Apple Watches using Family sharing for children . That's great since that was one of Shane's main concerns. And it was also something I was hoping for since my 10yo daughter only has her Apple watch, but no iPhone yet. If your child's watch still doesn't work with homekey, make sure it's updated to the latest version of Watch OS, then restart the Apple Watch (full power cycle), and Homekey should work.

As for the Ecobee security system… on top of the lack of HKSV, they also don’t expose a security system to HomeKit, only Siri Shortcuts, so…that’s also annoying.

Every time they do an update something doesn’t work , I now just have a folder with apps for the devices in it and it’s just as simple. HomeKit needs to work better for me to make it my go to app.

I just received these and they are a great addition to my backyard. Only issue is the last 12 bulbs in the second string doesn’t work anymore. They did work for a few days and now they don’t. Anyone else have this issue? I’ve deleted and re-paired 3 times but no luck in getting those last 12 bulbs in the 98ft(30m) to work.

Update: Do not change routers, update phone software, or have a power outage. It will brick. I will say Tailwind is trying to figure it out but I can no longer use mine as it no longer recognizes my credentials! It needs a way to factory reset to wipe the memory.

Anyway I can get my HomePod to call out the weather each morning? Is that an automation I can create? I like my Alexa device does that but can't see a way for my HomePod to do that.

I recently switched from Echo to Home Pod - love the integration as we are all Apple devices however I REALLY miss the "drop in" feature where we could effectively call another homepod and have a back/forth conversation. I coudl call my daughters room and say good morning, ask her how she's feeling and if she's ready for breakfast, etc. Intercom is working but sometimes I have a question that needs an answer and I don't want to walk upstairs. I can't believe we can't "call another homepod". Drop-in seems a bit anti-privacy, sure, but at least call one where they can answer the call??
