What size is the pipe 1"?

So i am trying this for the firat time, just like the little book says... What it doesnt say is what mode is the filter in Filter or waist?

What adapter did you use? Does the size of the filter or pool matter in this case? I have a much smaller pool than yours and I was thinking that since my pool filter is meant for a smaller pool it won't have enough power to suck anything up with a larger hose.

My pump motor is leaking from the part where you take off the 8 screws. Any clue what could be the cause?

Hello when you took off the 8 screws, there was a black rubber washer. I contacted Intex customer service and they do not have the part number. They suggested that I buy another pump. My pump is 2 years old and just needs a rubber seal. Do you happen to know the part number?

Just lean the pump on its back to avoid the pulley from falling out while reassembling

Theres a reason they specifically say not to use an extension cord nevermind a threeway plug. Youd definitely overloaded the line

What is the Name and Model # of your pump ? I just closed on a home that has a 17’ Coleman above ground pool and have the same pump but the label has weathered off so I can’t find a manual to troubleshoot it

Just install a GFCI outlet on the house then that'll eliminate the need to wire an outlet on a CORD. Also, see if your pump/filter is under warranty. My Intex pump/filter has a 2 year warranty and hoses are a year. I actually just got my new pump motor and the 6 port valve head in the mail because I had to send in for the warranty myself. For some reason when I'd touch the old plug I'd get zapped and they sent me a new 6 port valve head because sand was entering the pool. They said they couldn't send new laterals that are in the sand filter tank.

I'm late to the party but would it not be better to put the pump on waste so that all that junk doesn't go thru the sand and just empties out?

I am having water pouring out of the connection between the pre filter connection and the motor…. Any ideas?? I’ve cleaned all the parts off

what size pvc did you use? It appears to be 1/2 inch diameter.

Those nuts can EASILY strip out the plastic in the back of those screws. I would suggest placing your pump in some shade, to limit the UV damage to the plastic.

Maybe you should of ran rinse cycle. Long enough to get all sand out of sight glass..😉

What would be the reason if no water comes out when you try to backwash ? It did when first getting the pool, but now it doesn't and the sediment trap is dry.

I don't understand why ar end of video you shut of intake to clean leaf trap but moments before you didn't and asked if anybody knows a better way yeah shut off intake like you did at the end

Just bought a house that had one of these pools and pumps. Took off the impellar cover and there was no rubber gasket on the impellar. I cant find this pump or parts for it other than amazon but none of the replacement parts show an impellar gasket. So Im thinking this impellar isnt working correctly. But I also need to find the parts. Any links you can provide?

Maybe someone can advise. New Flowclear pump and working fine … until I screwed up today. Turned the pump on and went to the pool store. Came back and realized it was running on CLOSED (X) setting. It has low pressure and not good pressure on the inlets A and B but good inflow pressure. It is a sand pump. Any suggestions sure sure sure appreciated. Thanks if you can give me any ideas.

Thanks. I plugged in my pump when doing this and it turned my tank into a fire hydrant lol. The water was so powerful it almost blew the pool over. I have a different pump than the one in this video, so that's most likely the problem.

How can I get the clear plastic piece off to clean it? It is really dirty and I’ve backwashed and rinsed multiple times. It was dirty last year at the end of the year.
