When I was in fifth grade, my drama teacher put on an old radio recording of the the Telltale Heart by Poe and I never forgot it. Enjoy your new books!
You know what? I remember hearing a recording of the Tell-Tale Heart in school and I remember loving it. I have to believe it might have been the same recording. Who knows? I was reading the book last night. I read The Cask of Amontillado. As of now that is my favorite. I can read it over and over! I'm hoping to find even more New favorites as I explore his book. No. I didn't realize that. But yeah, the title is Tales and Poems. Not novels. But that's okay because I Love short stories!
Got that same Western anthology book on a different printing.
I am going to enjoy these stories. I see one is titled "A Man Called Horse" I'm guessing that is the one the movie is based on?

UPDATE! This book is for Adults Only! A few adult scenes between man and woman are described.
Never read this book, but the shinning was sort of creepy, but good. Glad you sort of liked it, until the end. Good review James!

The Mike Flanagan miniseries based on it is excellent.
I haven't heard of that series. I haven't watched regular TV or any new stuff in a long time. I only watch what I can find on CZcams. Sometimes I will watch Tubi

I liked Streets of Laredo. I love this whole series. Currently reading Dead Man’s Walk, then I will follow up with Comanche Moon. No doubt, Lonesome Dove will be the best one, but I need to stay with Call and McCrea, love them both! That’s wonderful that you have the two books mentioned in Streets Of Laredo!! Enjoyed this video, thank you!

Kevin. I started Not reading the little blurb or whatever it's called because I've had a few plots ruined for me. It was little things that I had wish I hadn't known before reading the story. Have a good Sunday.
I personally did not like the haunting at Hill House. I'm not quite sure what all the hoopla was about that book. I'll be curious to hear what you think of it though. Hopefully you enjoy it. Nice little book haul
I've really never heard anything about the book. Good or bad. I just started reading it but I'm thinking of holding off and waiting until it gets closer to Halloween.
Old Yellern is a keeper! It's a classic for a reason. =) LOL I have to Grits books that my friends from a California bookclub gave me when I moved to Kentucky. Fun! Which book are you reading first?

Hey Kevin. Heck I found another nice hardcover Lucas Davenport story at the thrift store but was over budget so I hid it. It's one about a political convention and a plot to shoot someone? I can't remember the title. I hope it's still there on my next visit.
I have heard some say before that Rome never fell...it just became the Catholic Church! If that's good or bad I cannot say. This sounds like it may explore that. Good review, James!
