- Book Review of the Western Novel "News Of The World" by female writer Paulette Jules. One of my All-time favorite Westerns and Novels. A must read for June On The Range! I read this novel a few years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is James On The Range along with my Pardner, Bella, The Tail-Less Wonder Dog! Together we conquer The Literary World!

Yes. Little Sister, Bella has my back! And I guess I was a sexist? Because I was amazed at how awesome a Western novel this was and written by a woman! The writer's gender should have no bearing on if a good book or not. But I did buy it knowing it was a woman so I guess I'm not a sexist! Good, I feel better now. Hahaha. Thank you for stopping by. I just found a Western by a female author named Allison Amend in a little free library yesterday.
Jae, okay, one female Western writer is great. But now there are two female Western writers!? What is happening! If you read that book of yours I am interested in hearing your thoughts on it. -James

Great book! I didn't know there is a movie now. Well, I don't watch many movies, but once in a while I will. Movies based on books I've already read top my list of movies to watch. I liked the way that old man made money. It seems like a great profession, though probably not necessary these days.
I should have shown the cover but I wanted people to think of it first as a book, and as we all know that the movie is never as good as the book. I'm opposite of you, If I have read the book first, I rarely watch the movie. LOTR being the exception, I loved the LOTR books and movies. Thanks Ms Linda. -James
@@Littlebiglibrary I liked the original cover on that book! Somehow the original cover always made me want to read it.
I had to Google it to see the original cover. Another thing about a movie tie-in. I don't want how I vision the characters influenced by the movie actors.
@@Littlebiglibrary Right! Books are better without Hollywood deciding how the characters should look in our imaginations! I just looked all over for an original cover for that book and finally found one on Goodreads without the "soon to be a movie" circles or the label that said "national book award finalist."
This sounds wonderful. I think I picked up the 4K film on a sale on a whim. Havent seen it yet. But i may have to find this it sounds really good. And I also hate those movie or tv show marketing tie-in covers. So ugly
Hey Ricky. I don't like the movie covers because it influenced how I visualize the characters. And if shown during a review people tend to start commenting about the movie instead of the book.
