Dude sounds so much like his dad, with the vocal range and passion. I love hearing them both. I love Jakobs Castle and Sublime. I understand Jakob wants his own place, and he definitely has that, and us Sublime fans love him singing his dads song with his own passion. Jakob is a badass! He's not just following in his awesome dad's footsteps, he's blazing his own trails. Love the voice.

Aww, this was really great. I am an omnipotent music fan, and I don't usually delve into any personal member OF a band but had been on a AFI kick (Been listening to them since SOS) and came across a series of small vignettes of an interview they did about all of their different albums, SO= I came to this afterward. This was immensely entertaining and super interesting. 1st off, though I always figured, I never actually knew, Davey was gay?! I don't pay much attention to people's sexual orientation cause I think it's about the most meaningless thing a person expresses about themselves, but that was interesting. 2= Davey is spectacularly THOUGHTFUL. As an artist and singer, you'd expect some depth, but he proved to be a really great observer of his own life (a lot of people are not) and was great at relating experiences in it. Though I had nothing but respect for the band before seeing any of this- I have a newfound admiration for Davey and the guys, they are really cool people. I just wanted to say the highlight of the interview, oddly, was talking about Social Media and how peoples attention is often held in brief increments. I don't know if I would've watched the first interview- that brought me to this interview- if it wasn't segmented. This is something I have never even thought of before and I'm super smart and aware. I DO also find myself watching short things but I watch long things too, they related it in the sense of whole albums vs ep's or single songs. For music, I think the long format album- if that's what you want to call it- will never go out of style. It is a representation of an artists 'Moment'. what they think, what they feel, what they want to express. I write poetry and though I don't sit and write poem after poem, my collections of them are all broken down in a kind of 'Moment'. I have 1 book that's only 49 poems, I have another that is 185. It's more that they represent a section of time in my life and they express everything about me in THAT section. BUT, in relation to grabbing a persons attention, even if briefly, so that it produces ancillary benefits to what YOU are doing, I think that's incredibly thought provoking. We're in such an instant entertainment culture that it prohibits things from getting expressed in a deeper and more involved way, which is a Bad things for humans, as we are predicated by our interactions with one another and not our seclusion from. I'm going to start thinking about what I watch now and if I'm not just chasing shiny objects when looking for media to bide my time with. Oh, thank you for everything, this interview was fucking BOMB and I wish I was Gay and I'd date Davey, hahaha, I think he's that cool. Here's to both of yours further success.

Saw them close with Cosmic in the 2024 US tour and my life will never be the same. It’s incredible to experience live especially with the added visuals and it is the perfect closer to an A7X concert. Also saw them in 2023 when they closed with G-O-D and that was also an experience, but Cosmic left me feeling so grateful that I made the trip for that concert (to a smaller market in the Midwest, it required a 3 hour flight)
