Watching now because of thumbnail currently playing reckoning and im really liking it. 23 hours clocked in. Recent one i played and not sure if featured here ni no kuni.... 80 hours clocked in.
I like the variety here, there's a good mix of everything. I generally aim to have one game of every style even if it's not my idea of fun, as often there's at least one title in every genre that's worth having/playing even if it's initially not your cup of tea, I've found some amazing games by being less specific and branching out with my tastes. From a pure pick up and have some fun perspective WHEELMAN is worth a look.

So interesting how when you hit all the sequels from PS3 greats like ME Andromeda and KZ Shadowfall they just suck. Better to not release at all than release something crappy.
Couldn't agree more. And what sucks about it moreover is that it makes PlayStation timid to release sequels to these games anymore, so it's has essentially killed off a lot of amazing franchises. A lot of franchises I believe if you let the studios do what they envision for the sequels without Sony's direct hand in it we would get some quality games.

Just found this video while playing Darksiders. Such a good game. Also, thank you for reminding me of the saboteur. My brother and I were racing to finish the game first. I never completed it, he did tho. I haven't seen him for over a decade. I just bought the game to finally finish.

@shanenice5380 Most of the PS3 library is still very cheap to buy. A lot linger around that $30-$40 range, and some are just crazy expensive. Good luck with your collection buddy. :)

i loved resi village, how the game was designed around the village as a hub and each main enemy has kind of its own area gave it an amazing videogame<ey vibe, idk. it was really fun and got it plsatinum for ps4 and ps5 without autopopping, i know as a resi game it disappointed a lot of people but for me it was amazing. prolly gonna buy nfs unbound after hearing your thoughts if i can find it for cheap
Yeah Village was a blast to play through, the environments and boss fights really stood out to me while playing. Glad you enjoyed it too and congrats on the platinum! Definitely try to aim for a cheaper pickup with Unbound, however I had a pretty fun time with it and hopefully you end up enjoying it as well if you pick it up!

"collecting nono" is funny and ridiculous at the same time. I recently purchased a sealed collector's edition of No More Heroes 1 & 2 from Limited Run off eBay and my friend nearly lost his mind when I immediately opened it. Like what the fuck am i going to do with a sealed box? It's not an investment, there's stocks for that.
Yes Thank you! Glad I'm not alone in this boat hahaha, I get collecting them sealed for the people that like it for sure. But I'm too broke for that and I just wanna play the games I buy!
Some older games that I removed from my backlog in recent months are Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Life is Strange 2, both for the PS4. Mirror's Edge Catalyst was decent, although certainly not a must-play. It's good for people who enjoyed the first game and would enjoy more of the same but with a bit of an open world setting this time. Life is Strange 2 was pretty interesting. At first it makes you think that it will be another school or college life setting like the first game but then there is a big twist early on and it ends up being something completely different, which I was not super into at first but in the end it was actually not that bad. And I really like that your choices throughout the game actually affect the ending this time. In Life is Strange 1 and Before the Storm the ending was just a binary choice at the very end but this time it was actually a bit more complicated.
I've always wanted to get into Mirror's edge myself but have never ended up picking up a copy for some reason, I heard the first one is the better of the two but glad to hear the second one is at least decent. I know someone who is really big into the Life is Strange games and with all the good things I hear about them I might give em a shot, it's just not really a genre I play too often. The improved choice consequence system sounds really interesting though and for me is a huge plus for pure story games.
Cool list. I only played NFS Unbound from these so far, which was definitely alright for a playthrough. I would like to try a Yakuza game one day to see what they are like but I would like to start at the beginning of the story, which I guess would be with Yakuza 0 and that game is a bit too long for me right now. I would also like to try one of the modern AC games but I would probably go for Origins myself, as the Egypt setting interests me more than the Greece or Viking settings.
Dude origins asap. It’s so much better than odyssey or Valhalla. So the fact that the setting is more attractive to you is a no brainer
Totally agree on NFS Unbound, just a solid 1 time playthrough type of game. The Yakuza games are very much worth a playthrough in my opinion, tons of games and all the ones I have played so far have been excellent (Yakuza 0 being my favorite). With the modern AC games yeah just pick which setting you feel most interested in because they all play the same basically. Me too, I farm trophies here and there and only get willing to get platinums when I feel like it. Chasing platinums just isn't fun as I just want to play the game for the game lol
Totally feel the same, games the entrée and the trophies are like the side dish (to use a food analogy for some reason lol). I do really enjoy that they add extra replay-ability or content to games I already love and if I can snag a platinum here and there when I feel like it, that's golden! Thanks for the comment.

Oh I 1000% agree with you, that's how I view it too, collecting just to collect for a personal collection is 100% fine with me even if you don't play them but scalpers are gross and have ruined a lot of the market surrounding gaming.
