Is The PS5 Worth It At The Moment? (PS5 Review)

- After a month of owning and using the PS5 I wanted to make a video giving my thoughts on the console as is! I will be looking at the console and answering the question "Is it worth it now" in my opinion, hopefully helping people decided whether to wait or buy it now. Overall, I can say I think the console will have a great lifespan ahead of itself and I have had fun using it so far!

Do the r2/L2 buttons bump/activate when you lay the controller down...like the ps4 controller does? I remember when I first got my ps4(and was used to my ps3 which doesn't bump when you lay controller down)...I got so annoyed with it. Watching a movie or something took a while for me to get used to setting it down very very gently lol.
What about the feel of it compared to ps4...is it more of a substantial feel? Only way I can describe my question is going from ps3 to ps4 years ago...at first I hated the way 4 felt in hand compared to 3...but after a few days the more ergonomicness...lol...grew on me. Good news is you can play ps3.4.5...with any of those controllers right?

Great questions! On the R2/L2 I haven't had an issue with that so far, at first when I initially got the controller the back triggers felt stiffer then the PS4 ones so there is less loose movement from it. The feeling is definitely different, it has more weight to it then the PS4 ones and kind of has the bulk of like a 360 controller. Takes a bit to adjust but after playing Assassin Creed Valhalla and Hitman 3 with it I rather like it, I don't know if better then PS3 or PS4 yet I'd need more time on it but it's a well made controller in my opinion. also if u like Japanese games... more niche games... (= non AAA blockbusters in general) many of these products ARE NOT back compatible (yet). The situation is random (example Death end request 1 is not comp. while Death end request 2 is - which is ok because the 2nd is sooo much better but still...). Keep that In mind before switching.
Oh and what are your thoughts on ps3 game prices currently? And do you feel they will go back down in price/value...comparative to before the ps3 closure announcement/reversal?
I'm no expert on the gaming market however I think a lot of the games that shot up in price that are more sought after rather then rare (in terms of quantity) will start to trickle done and flatten out in price. However, the actual rare games will probably be stuck at an overinflated price for a while due to little product available so not much choice on sellers.
Yeah in my opinion it's worth it for Returnal (great game!) and for Demon's Souls if u did not pay it already/shame on u! (...still buying a new console for a game u may play on ps3 for dirt cheap sounds dumb). Apart from these games I love, it is a second ps4 pure and simple... The generational leap is still not there yet, it will come in good time... we are not there yet tho.
Yeah I was looking at Returnal in my opinion it kind of resembles Mass Effect Andromeda's combat style but more refined, It's one I will probably pick up in a year or two when it is around 30-40. I totally agree on your take on the console and thanks for sharing it!
@@coltonsnerdycoreI believe that an even closer comparison with the exception of shmups like Darius you know.. is Nier maybe? That's the only 3rd person 3d occasionally bullet hell I had played so far. With the notable difference that nier's combat is about killing enemies, this one is about surviving (killing is not the problem in Returnal). On top of that Returnal has this metaphysical atmosphere and incredible music. Also a rogue like structure of course which normally means the game is harder at the start and easier at the end. In this case they tried to counterbalance this unfortunately introducing quite a spike in difficulty towards the end. Still it is very remarkable and unique you should definitely try it... it is truly a new "demon's souls" you know, I wouldn't be surprised if it spans an entire new genere (3rd person 3d AAA rouguelikes?). The story and writing is also quite intriguing, adult and well done which is not obvious in a bullet hell shooter

Yeah I totally get why you'd decide that, hard to justify such a big purchase for little difference from the PS4 at the moment at least.
*The moment I found out that it also has a cmos bomb like the PS4 I decided not to get it and remain with my PS3 for the rest of my life. And no, I don't care about digital games, for those that will come on here and mention that.*
Honestly, didn't hear about this until this comment (I try to look up as little as possible on games and consoles just cause I like the surprise of all of it) but thanks for commenting about it letting other people know about the issue!
