Mean Girls the Musical
This is a youth theater organization production, not a school production. Mean Girls is a cautionary tale about how girls should not act in High School. This cast featured primarily 8th graders in the lead roles, with mostly 7th graders in ensemble. The cast came from a number of middle schools, with musical theater being the main extracurricular activity of most of the kids in the cast. It is closed captioned for the lyric-understanding impaired.
This video comes primarily from the 3rd of 4 performances. The audio recording from the wireless mics is used for most of the video. The wireless microphone recording became distorted as volume increased, so the camcorder audio recording was used for most vocals. Some scenes or parts of scenes came from an earlier performance.

Addams Family Musical

Abbreviated version of the Addams Family Musical, featuring Samantha Probst as Wednesday Addams when Samantha was in 6th grade. "Pulled in a New Direction" starts at 7:27. The cast arrived Friday at 3:30 pm to learn the musical to be performed and their assigned roles. The performance was the next day, so remembering the dialog and lyrics was a challenge.
The whole cast was amazing but whoever played Regina george really caught my attention. She is actually SO talented and she has an amazing voice, she definitely needs to consider a music career omg!

May i be the first to say, all 3 of the plastics were AMAZING, but Regina carried that whole show. She did amazing.
Thank you for your kind words. Her vocals far exceeded my expectations, and I had high expectations. This production was really a team effort. The leads were all really well cast, and each did a terrific job portraying all the quirks of their character. But the difference between an exciting production and a meh production often comes down to the ensemble, and the ensemble kids really brought their talent and enthusiasm.

Trama realmente tonta, pero fue divertido de ver. El teatro es una gran actividad extracurricular, sin importar lo que quieras hacer como adulto. Mi nieta (que interpretó a Mal) comenzará la escuela secundaria en el otoño y planea estudiar español. Ojalá ella recuerde más que yo.
Alright. I admit I tend to underestimate kids thus I watched this ironically. But these kids are awesome. I'm also glad that the majority of the older characters are played by older kids, it looks a lot neater than other versions I've seen.
Almost all the major roles were in 6th grade (including Maleficent and Carlos). Audrey was and old 4th grader (about a year younger than Mal, who was a young 6th grader).

That was an unusual voice recital in a relatively small room. Five kids in total, if I remember correctly. She went first, and did fine, considering she was relatively young and new at the whole voice recital thing. All the others were really tough acts to follow, so glad Abigail went first.

Didn’t know that there was a descendants the musical.
Disney develops musicals to license for youth productions from many of their movies. To have enough musical material, the script combines plot elements and music from both of the first two descendants movies, along with some additional music adapted from animated films.
They did so well! I’ve been loving watching your granddaughters performances! Her acting and singing is addicticting to watch, I really look up to her 🫶🏻

This is so amazing! I’m a little younger than your grandaughter and also doing theatre, she’s is inspiring me She’s so cool and talented 🧡 she reminds me of young Arianna grande when she did theatre on broadway
It's a great extracurricular activity for whatever you pursue as a profession. She spent all last week (and weekend) helping two 6th graders playing Sharpay in different casts of HSM (makeup, quick changes and the like), so she appreciates the performances of kids that are a little younger than her.
