Lyon is a historic place in France. It is rich in history due to its geographical position, and used to be a pillar of the catholic religion. It’s a nice city to visit, capital city for silk trade and fabrics, the end of the “route de la soie” ; but also known for the gastronomy, long list of “chefs étoilés” or traditional “bouchons”, which are the informal places where you can eat the traditional dishes, definitely a place to visit without forgetting the wonderful to visit the free entry park/zoo, Parc de la Tête d’or.

We were in Tunbridge Wells and decided to visit Scotney Castle on a whim. It was the May bank holiday Moday. On the NT website is says that on a busy day (weekends and bank holidays) it is expected to book the car park in advanced which I did not know at that time. We also forgot our NT membership cards! We drove to London from Bournemouth. We arrived in London just before 8am. Parked the car and cycled to the start line. It was really busy with thousands of cyclists taking part. Brilliant vibe throughout the route with lots of people cheering. It was a wet forecast but luckily we only experienced a drizzle. This is our second time coming to the Festival. We arrived in the morning and despite the intermittent rain, the place was bustling. A great selection of food from local artisans. We did not stay for the afternoon race. Overall, we had a lovely time.

We took the train from Porto to Braga. The train commute was fairly busy. The bus stop is just outside the entrance of the Braga train station. We took bus number 2 which takes us Bom Jesus as its final destiantion. For us, the highlight of the day was visiting Bom Jesus and I wished we spent more time there. Day 2 of our holiday, we took the 9am train from Porto to Guimaraes. We spent the day exploring the historic centre. We took a cable car ride to the top of Penha mountain. The cable car station is just a short walk away from the centre.

3:04 that point is also a real international border. Bavaria belongs to Germany, Tyrol belongs to Austria, so you're crossing from Germany into Austria at that point. Not everyone is as xenophobic as the US... ;-))

Any problem with the bars 10 months on?
No problem at all. I've used it in bad weather and rough roads. Really pleased so far. I may take down the bar tape at some point to have a closer inspection as I'm considering getting another one for my winter bike.

Hi. Yes, it’s free to use. However there are certain times when a local cycling club has exclusive use of the grounds. Outside club times, you can just come in and use any bike.
