Scotney Castle, National Trust. Visit the set of Netflix series The Sandman

We were in Tunbridge Wells and decided to visit Scotney Castle on a whim. It was the May bank holiday Moday. On the NT website is says that on a busy day (weekends and bank holidays) it is expected to book the car park in advanced which I did not know at that time. We also forgot our NT membership cards!
When we arrived on the site, there is a sign that says full car park. There were a few cars parked on the side road ouside the gates and fortunately there were still lots of spaces for us to park (although when we returned this was also full). Parking outside meant it was about 15 minutes walk to the visitor entrance. As we walked, I phoned the NT sevice line and the chap kindly sent me an email with temporary barcodes for us to present at the entrance (thumbs up to the NT membership helpline).
We spent half the day in Scotney Estate. It is a magical place and is well worth the visit.
