ISC Manta Liberation
My friends from Innerspace Systems Corp, more commonly known as Megaladon CCR, were diving in Cocos Island when they came across this Manta with a line of debris following it. Leon, the owner of ISC, swam against the current to cut the line and free the Manta. It appears to have appreciated that, because it tips his fin to him. I am honored to have been able to put this video together for ISC.

Grate Day on the Doria
zhlédnutí 63KPřed 10 lety
After discovering the treasures of the Andrea Doria third class and knowing other divers would stand in line for a spot on the SEEKER, John Chatterton planned and executed a way to give easy access to other divers by cutting a larger hole. Rival dive boat, WAHOO, and some of its divers, including Richie Kohler, caught wind of this and planned to clear out the room before the SEEKER had a chance...

In 2005, John Chatterton and Richie Kohler were invited to join an expedition to the Titanic. I wish I could claim credit for the production of this video, but the all the credit goes to Chatterton and Jed Rauscher. I am still proud to host this video for John Chatterton. Note - the original video had a wonderful soundtrack. However, CZcams wouldn't allow the video to be played on mobile device...

Andrea Doria 1991 with John Chatterton
zhlédnutí 389KPřed 11 lety
In 1991, the wreck of the Andrea Doria had been on the bottom for 35 years. It was called, the Mount Everest of Wreck Diving for a reason. It offered virtually limitless penetrations of the interior. Deep wreck divers from around the world came to the Doria simply because it was deep, dark, and dangerous, and it really was. This video is of a dive I made in 1991, to the Second Class kitchen. - ...

Many casualties from this search.
One of the best books I’ve ever read. I grew up there and to have history so close is awesome.
Do you have anymore footage of the wreck? I really enjoy the straightforward narration, almost like I’m sitting there with you as you go over the dive. I just heard the wreck is in more dilapidation so I was on the hunt looking for some footage. Rest in peace for all souls lost
Is it just me or at 9.:29 when he was going through? What looks like 2 pipes 1 above and one below .They're look like to the lower right hand part of the screen either a hand or a glove sitting there on the ground , Just found that a little creepy
Screw you guys I like the music
Seeing the name Lusitania though obscure near the bow is quite profound.Such a catastrophic loss in 1915.RIP to all who perished on that fateful spring day off the Old Head of Kinsale.
that lobster at 3:42 🤣
If the powers that be can sink the Lusitania, why is it impossible to switch Titanic with the damaged Olympic?
Because the wreckage of the Titanic is inconsistent with the design of the Olympic. Nameplate, bridge wing caps, promenade deck windows, grand staircase design, more first-class cabins, and the serial number on her propeller being that of Titanic. The idea that they swapped because Olympic was 'old' is untrue. She was in service for only a year at that point and was actually the more popular sister up until Titanic's sinking.
Nice video. Read about it in Shadow divers 😂
It's a pretty creepy hobby, wreck diving - even just watch a video about it. Good content 👍
Imagine you see so little and a flash of light happens down there making the whole wreck visible for you… That must be terrifying as hell.
u think this is good check out "hitlers lost sub,it sank off the coast of new jerasey!"richie kohler and crew tell a brilliant true story with amazing facts and fatal tragedies
Was it really that dark? It’s only 93 meters deep. Must’ve been nighttime
My uncle was a U-Boat skipper. At first on a type 7 and later on a type 9. He told me of some patrols off the US coast and one in particular up the lower Chesapeake bay. For years, no one wanted to believe it. But wrecks like this tell the truth of the U-Boat service.
This is fascinating. Great dive footage. I'm reading the book "Deep Descent" and it goes into detail about the numerous diving deaths st this wreck. Definitely not for the faint of heart!
Shadow Divers brought me here. Incredible story. Incredible men.
Well you wont run into me down there 😂
I have read on a magazine the report of this. Well thought, organized and put at work🎉
I'm sure that still to this very day they were threatened to not show any footage of any munitions that may find, as if we don't know exactly what the whole thing was about😢
Crazy how many have died just for the chance to rob a grave of silverware and plates
WE need another exploration with more definition of the camera
Amazing! You guys diving on air at those depths! Narced (and keeping a clear head), exploring, watching for dangers (falling debris, entanglement, stirring up sediment) along with searching for treasure (artifacts), and staying with the dive plan! I’ve been diving 40 years and a Trimix diver but not even a quarter of your level! Thanks man!
Doing this dive on air is litteraly suicidal
Had to feel odd swimming with ghosts
He's so calm I would be terrified
2023, enjoyed watching this with clear narration. Thank you
"I guess I was somewhat nervous." I've been diving since 1987 and I was so nervous watching this, I broke out in a sweat. That deep and by himself. I read Shadow Divers when it first came out and have read it twice more since then. Incredible story.
The ship was not going full speed! The captain had it ( commands he received to do so) reduced to 18nohts instead of its 21 The ship had the new turbo propellers that allowed her to be a hard target for submarines! Now for the conspiracy story? It was a 9/11 for the Americans to enter the war! 225 Americans died on that ship! Lots of darkness surrounding that story
With all due respect to Chatterton (one of the greatest divers in history), what right does he have to deny access to a rival team on a wreck they do not own? I find this highly offensive.
You have a steel set! Your a brave MF
Imagine losing your fishing net on the LUSITANIA.
I love Lucy ❤️🥰
Ive not heard or read much from John about shark encounters. Any White Shark stories off LI?
Hey the most over rated steamer sinking of all time, stupid ass titanic soon the rotten pile of trash will fall in on its self, go watch and learn about the empress of ireland or the wilhem gustoff, that was the greatest maritime loss of life ever to this day, eastland disaster, lusitania, enough of the fucking titanic already
Man this awesome and the guy talking sounds like a refined jack nickelson i love it.... great video 👍👍👍
Kohler & Chatterton have balls of steel
Shipwreck looks cool 😎
Wow, I’ve dove many times and also have visited ship wrecks, but I have never and would never enter that deep into a ship with all that silt. You are a monster. I was nervous for you, even though I knew you made it out alive. This was frighteningly awesome. 👍
Well done gentlemen.
man i got lost real quick
Dudes a beast. Nooooo way I could do this.
I know it’s old but just read SHADOW DIVERS and dang I’m a recreational diver but Chatterton Kohler Nagle and all the other involved divers of U869 and other deep wreck dives were some absolutely calculated crazy mofos.
There is a picture of a metal ball at first glimpse, For John Chatterton and Richie Kohler, deep wreck diving was more than a sport. Testing themselves against treacherous currents, braving depths that induced hallucinatory effects, navigating through wreckage as perilous as a minefield, they pushed themselves to their limits and beyond. So, what did they themselves accomplish, tiredness.
Here because of "Shadow Divers"
How do we know this is real?
Who’s back because of the recent news .. and I guess some new techno music lol
On every Andrea Doria video I see tons of comments autistically fixated on some stupid prototype car that most likely does not exist in any recognizable form anymore. Let it go; it's gone. And if it was still there, it would cost far more to bring it to the surface than the stupid thing is worth.
Couldn’t imagine diving down that thing and going into it. Even as an AD. Too scary.
Fascinating 👍🏻
God rest their souls...
