The date on Edward`s pocketwatch is "3.Oct.11" , that`s October 3rd, 1911 which was the day their mother died and Edward and Alphonse(Mainly Edward though and he is super guilty about it) arrogantly committed the taboo of Human Transmutation to bring their recently deceased mother back to life and as you can probably guess from the Elric boys` current condition it didn`t go too well. I don't know if it was accidental or on purpose that in Opening #4 "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight", the lyric "I feel alive" corresponds to the four plushies running playfully away from Ichigo, the MC. If these people who react to all of the Bleach openings knew what they are, they would understand what a perfect moment that is. Of course, that's an opening for a filler arc that few people like, so few people pay attention to that. Still, the lion plushie, Kon, is a regular in the whole series and he does perform an important function for Ichigo throughout the series, so I still really like that line in that opening.
