Man…..this is why looking at the $$$ signs and quarterly earnings show how bad a company can be if they use that policy. I wish we had the authority to essentially make it illegal for a company to have any top level management and board of directors which is not made up by the actual employees. (In essence Boeing will ONLY have engineers and designers in the BOD and upped management and retail companies will do the same as well) and plus the CFO position will be reduced to nothing more than a financial reporting position where the ONLY job is to report the financial results for the public and employees but those financial results have almost no say in a company decision. In addition to that, shareholders will now have no authority or say in the company decisions UNLESS it’s related to criminal matters like bribery, lobbying and other corporate fraud and governance.

I must say it takes cojones for a Boeing pilot to publish a video like this. I love the transparency and the discussion happening here. And I do believe that airline safety will be the winner in the end.

This can be achieved by for instance, focusing on the core business, which means selling so called non-core assets. General Electric has gone through the same process.

737 is my LEAST FAVORITE Boeing aircraft to fly ! If I were king for a day I would have put an EICAS on the NG and made it a different type rating. On the MAX I would have added an APU with some actual guts ! I feel sorry for pilots that have to spend their entire careers on it…….they don’t know any better !

That's the reason we had MIJI reports back when I was on active duty. Meaconing, Intrusion, Jamming, Interference. British were meaconing (Misleading bEACON) or spoofing the Luftwaffe's Knickebein, X-Gerat and Y-Gerat navigation and blind bombing systems starting in 1940. When GPS came along in the Eighties, I predicted it would be meaconed.

In the gravel age, the 1980s, I commuted to my job flying Twin Otter and DC-3 in Resolute Bay, NWT, Canada from Toronto. My ride in and out on our rotation was a "Jurassic" 737. I always felt it was awesome of Boeing to produce a gravel kit for the 737-200. It would have been a drag to do the Iqaluit-Resolute leg in a 748. For that reason alone I've always had a fondness for that airplane. I want you to know I feel this is one of the best aviation videos I've seen. I like it so much that I'm going to your Patreon.

What a lost opportunity for Boeing engineers developing a new small wide body. They must have been pissed off. Boeing would have had most of the market if they had just bought Bombardier and concentrated on a new plane.

Well, Boeing has been going down the drain for a few decades due to greed overriding quality, and the chances of Boeing recovering from the "McDonnell Douglas disease" is minuscule. The symptoms have been glaring for a couple of decades, the most recent and dramatic being the utter failure of their space program - not to mention the 737MAX MCAS debacle that should really be classified as a case of mass manslaughter due to negligence. Most of the victims were non-'Muricans, so the fallout has been survivable, but only barely.

This is the channel that produces Christmas disaster specials especially festive as CZcams pays double.

Oh the irony when one considers why bombardier sold the C-Series to airbus.

The reputation of the B737 is very ambiguous today, especially since further modernization is almost impossible. But the B757 for modernization is quite possible. After all, the B757-100 may well replace the 737 MAX8, or maybe the 6 and 7 models.

Is it still safe to fly on even the dreamliner?
