How "Not Knowing" Eases Suffering - Talk with Dr. Rick Hanson
A wonderful talk. I love this liberating topic. For some reason, I can't get the chat to reply, so I can't see the quotation from Thay which you shared (but didn't read out loud). If it's not too much trouble, can you add it here? If not, never mind :-) Thank you, I always appreciate your dharma talks and they really help me.
Thanks Rick! I so appreciate the reminder about Linking. So love your work, and love sharing it with others.
This practice is so powerful I literally went in jungle following with birds and that water drop sound... Magical and it was all my 3D presence. Thankyou & God bless you 🙏🕉
Amazing!! Thankyou after 1 min of practicing breath 😊
Hi Rick! I’m curious about the picture behind you. Do you talk about it in any of your videos? Thanks!
You are my favorite teacher, thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world! I have so many of your books and have improved my life wonderfully with lessons I have learned from you on neuroplasticity. Thank you Rick! You make a huge difference in this world. 🙏🏼
Wonderful teacher in so many Ways. Thank you so much.🙏🧡
Thank you.
I love your soothing voice and your message. Thank you 🙏
"I've spent a lot of my time on that choo choo train". You do make me laugh Rick Hanson! Thanks!
The question re: the fucked up-ness of the world. . . that alone should seal the deal about the value of practicing with equanimity!
Beautiful Henry, thank you.
Thank you for this very useful talk, just what I needed. And my gratitude for your existence and the work you give freely. 🙏
BIG THANKS ! There was an amazing synchronicity in my finding your email, tapping into your talk & actually reveling in the open handedness metaphor to assist in opening a long-term "tightness" ! WOW!!!
So how is this imagining being that way different from limerance? By the way I really appreciate your talks.

I’m going to take that idea Thank you, to picture in my mind the open hand, especially when I need to pause, to take stock. To look up!
I have get here from your most recent videos with Forrest. Love your work. Thank you for helping me to heal❤
Thank you
Thank you Rick gosh after first attempt I am slightly overwhelmed feel like Erl just mainly towards myself 😮 so much for the years of radical acceptance, mindfulness, yoga and meditation. As you said it yourself still in junior school ❤
What a gently powerful meditation this is -- thank you. I tuned in with a bit of a barrier as my days of active leadership -- in the conventonal sense -- are behind me: that scepticism saved by my curiosity. Listening rewarded me! So, gratefully, I now continue to find the gradual process you guide us through here re-centres me expansively deep within. I will be returning to this restorative practice ready to reconnect and reclaim its palpable benefits. Thanks a tonne, Dr. D. ... 💖 (onward to the related talk ... )
This is life saving ❤️
Wow! Thank you!
Very interesting talk and replies as well Together as a comunuty changes and improvement is possible .
Just what I needed Rick. I was getting into a real funk before listening to this last night. Thank you. I searched for this after years of benefiting from you and Forrest, wondering more about how you relate to "self" with all the western psychology.
In the old days we could have a conflict, discuss it, come to joke about it then let go of it over a glass of wine!
I don't hope for anything. Hope isn't real.
Life is meaningless suffering. I also detest people who say "suffering is beautiful"; hearing that is very painful.
Everything matters.
I really don't understand this at all.
You can only have confidence if you know what to do. If you don't know what to do, there is only confusuon and randomness.
That was such insightful piece of work rich in practices that I'm going to listen again Thank you🙏
Thank you Nathan this was a beautiful peaceful meditation session 🙏
Thank you for sharing your wisdom in such a warm and healing way
Thanks for your calming words and behavior!
Lovely meditation. 💐

As a vegan I sincerely thank you for expressing your awareness and sorrow about the mice whose lives were sacrificed against their will for the research to be done. Every animal's life is everything to them.
