Thanks! I didn't even expect to go to a random place for coffee and capture any of it, but a rainy day that cancels your original plans can lead to other explorations. The place, like you said, just had a vibe and I wanted to see what I could put together. Also, it's another example of a track that helps further enhance the visuals. Even the little creaks kept in the recording of the track are so fitting.

No worries! Haha stone skipping is quite intriguing. We actually weren't going to do it due to some rain but it was light enough and it was fun to try. I hope I can do better next time!

Whoa thank you so much! Yeah, it was a last minute idea to use the old-school JRPG elements. I thought because it goes with a theme of an adventure, it would fit well in the series. Yes Japan has so many incredible sights and vibes that it just sparks this desire to keep filming. I didn't even expect to make so many parts while filming but it just seemed like something I should try. Your subscription is much appreciated! Keep your street photography passion going and I hope your transition to more video is a rewarding journey!

Thanks! The blue flares are thanks to anamorphic lenses. Some people don't like the flares because of how unnatural they can be for certain environments and how they can appear when they're not desired, but I lean more towards liking them than not. I actually don't know the reason as to why streaks happen with these lenses, but it is part of what makes them particularly cinematic - light streaks, wider aspect ratios (meaning wider field of view), and the tendency to have more oval bokehs. I think there's a few more differences that make the images different from standard type lenses. These lenses are probably not as useful for a lot of standard work, but for film-like experiments, they are a lot of fun.

@@SamanthaEarle If you're ever curious, you can research the different offerings where some have less pronounced flares and even different colors! Blues tend to give a modern/sci-fi feel, while something like orange can work well with a lot of natural light.

Thank you! I'm learning to make sure pacing and beats are attended to, while maintain a bit of unpredictability to keep it fresh.

With just raw visuals, they may be beautiful, but often don't carry much weight. Components like music can bring them to the next level.

Yeah I didn't think I'd really care for anamorphic but with its characteristics I find myself getting into a filmmaking mentality, so have been gravitating towards them a lot lately. I'm going to be trying out a Nanomorph soon (a wider lens because I found the 35mm to be quite difficult at times to get wide and steady shots). Haha and yes I started with bits of gaming elements and then eventually just tacked on a few more to keep with a style.
