I have heard extremely harsh comments growing up for the same reason from my classmates, teachers and even strangers just walking past by me. I have even been rejected by hell no of people because of my skin tone as for marriage ladki toh gori hi chahiye. I love my color and consider myself beautiful as well. I am also successful if having a good job is considered to be successful in someone's dictionary. But till date I am being rejected for the very same reason.
