Pure talent these guys are. No gimmicks what you hear on their records they are the same in concerts fantastic and legendary. Go Stray Cats
Brians, my top favorite guitarist

Does anybody know if I can find a video clip of this song somewhere? I heard this song in the background while Zydeco was being interviewed by Nick Spitzer on American Routes radio archive. I was knocked out by this combination of Zydeco and Cooder’s slide. What an amazing atmosphere they create! This is real American routes music. Luckily, I found the CD including other New Orleans music and bought for my friend and myself. By the way, Ry Cooder is aging great!
Elmore had a much better singing voice than Robert Johnson.
Great song . With the welsh wizard too Dave Edmunds .
playing with justin hines must have been a blast. nice one, keith.
yeah, he was a very talented guy. Let's not forget he was supported by powerful musicians, in their own right
we need to get this music out there again
G and C
Nice
I Preffer Idols Of Blues Were Died So Long Years Ago, Because It's Sad When They Die While You Are Living As B.B. King And Next I'm Sure Buddy Guy Will Die
I'll say , I like every comment

Sounds just like It Hurts Me Too
Sounds like 'It Hurts Me Too' ! Come to think of it - they all sound the same but the words have changed 😂🎸👎
Oh wow! They all sound the same? What are you listening to? Well they are not all the same to my ears. It hurts me too to my ears is as far away as this is from Shake your money maker! Did they have similarities? Same guy: It can't be helped, its a given! He was about to break out, his last compositions are all classic Blues standards. Elmore was Elmo ONE OF A KIND!!!
SENSATIONAL..a legend ..perfessional singer and what a tone on that guitar ..fantastic band..
I love this album! It has quickly beome a real favorite!
He was Robert Johnson cousin and learned guitar from him
The man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one was ever better than Elmore. You might say that some were as good--but no one was better.

You can meet this man if your good
This musicality is another level few achieve
In 1967 our family moved into an all black neighborhood except for two families (ours and the Mexican family across the street) we lived in a coul de sac. I was a young teenager, half way down the block was an older black man named Charley he always was in his open garage which was fixed up like a living room wearing his baggie khakis and wife beater t-shirt smoking in his slippers, but while other blacks at that time were listening to 60s soul, everyday he’d have these old blues records playing, howlin wolf, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, Guitar slim, etc.. he was always so cool to me and our family. After the killing of MLK there was a lot of racial shit but he put the word out to leave our family and the Mexican family alone. He was a gentle down to earth giant with his old black music. RIP Charley
The great Elmore James, great blues singer of all times.
XXX 1D3 says awesome
A real blues master.
💐💐💐💔😥
I'm convinced Elmore never did no wrong...
From their probably best album (with the first of course). Fantastic song !! ("Oh baby you're such a drag, do some leave me alone !") Thanks for the share.
Great slide guitar player for sure, but for me the best blues voice of the lot.... If I had to I'd give up drink to listen to Elmore!
Amen! I think that Elmore had one of the best voices ever--no matter the genre!

One of the very best bluesman that ever lived.
Happy 100th birthday Elmore!
love it
The best 3 piece band next to Rush!! Stray cats are the ultimate in Rockabilly!
ZZ Top were hot in their early days.
8 utterly stupid excuses for human beings.
His vocals were just as good as his guitar playing. He could damn near scream but sing just enough to carry a tune.
:( :( :(
so dope. best
