I remember they were repaving 410 east of Chinook Pass and the asphalt didn't firm up and instead of becoming a new, firm roadbed became a gooey coating in the wheel wells of many cars/RV's.

My house got so hot during that heat dome that canned foods started to leak. Lost everything (not to mention I damned near died from the heat!) The Heat Dome scared me more than anything else Mother Nature has given me, including floods & tornados!

I live in Snohomish and I really don’t recall the 2021 heat. We camped out at Deception Pass…..Maybe that’s why I don’t recall. I sure remember the 2009 heat. My husband and I headed up to Mount Baker where the temp was 85F.

I was told the first day of summer isn't until 4th of July if you live west of the cascades in Oregon and Washington. That couldn't be more true this year! 🎉 🔥

When I moved to Seattle in early July 1986, the daily highs were around 45. It was 30 degrees warmer in Anchorage. It was a hard learning curve, coming out of 105 temps in Atlanta, but I learned to love it pretty quickly. The last 7 summers have been awful-I didn’t move back to Atlanta for a reason. The heat can stay away until SeaFair, like it’s supposed to do.
