Big difference for sure with the 124 grain ammo as far as recoil. Was really jumping with the 124. Seemed to be a very accurate gun. With all the choices out there is there a market for this gun?

Used to have a Taurus back in the day. The thing that made me sell it was that it left me wanting. The magazines were harder to come by and wasn't as upgradable at the time. Was a phenomenal pistol though, very reliable and accurate.

Reminds me of my Remmy Speedmaster. What a great vintage .22lr. As far as I know, there's isn't a semi that will accept .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 LR. I picked it up a long time. Brought it over to show my Father, and he went to town restoring it. Found a replacement charging handle (the original had some pitting) but he found to more difficult part, the deflector plate. He almost wanted to buy it from me. The best part, that was quality time with my Father. Thanks Dad!

The old hand launchers can do some great work if the thrower develops some technique in tall grass. Sometimes I'll give a few high, slow and easy lobs, straightaway. Then tighten up and send a few fastballs barely skimming the seed heads of the tallgrass. This is dirty. Nasty. Unfair! The spinning birdy will first fly straight, low and fast, but will hit the seed-heads atop the grasses and deflect into an decreasing radius progressive curve, making a hard right turn about the time the shooter is ready to release the trigger. Then you should revert to straightaway floaters, for a while so they don't figure out what just happened to them.

Take the red dot optic off the Browning or add one to that 617. Then you will have a fair comparison. You can use CCI standard velocity 40 grain bullets if you want more accuracy.
