Thanks for the love! I call the process "SLAP JOB PATINA". I use the cheep matt black paint, go heavy and wipe it off fast with heavy pressure. If the paint hardens up you can hit it with another spray of paint and it will activate the paint again so you can wipe it off. Seal with matt clear coat.

I haven't tried rustoleum direct to lexan, but I have used it over the top of tamiya spray paint (used as primer) and it has been holding up great so far. Probably 20+ batteries through it since this early spring. This is a cool technique you have here 👍

Seriously, this is the single most useful video I've come across to help me become familiarised with my brushless Evo Pro. I'm new to crawling and it has been difficult to learn about the basics when many videos out there assume you already have a detailed knowledge about this hobby. Can't thank you enough!👍 I've already needed to replace the drive shafts [front broke] with metal replacements. I would like to know about the benefits of switching the drive shafts, if any. I tried it, but the front and rear wheels ended up turning in opposite directions, so I guess I'm doing something wrong. Thanks again!

Are those Injora’s brass rims?

The enduro 12 is based on the cr12 chassis, which is actually based on the very old Thunder Tiger chassis. (it's not new by any means). They share the same gears, motor, and even the battery. However, the frame rails are different, as well as the axle housings and transmission housing.

When people have no clue the cost of stainless steel molds and manu.of the manufacturing parts. Not the product made . Anyway...uhmmm.beenxhete done this. The pool foam breaks down fast when squished and deformed repeatedly.besides that. For bigger Dia. Just cut the donut/slice like a cake. And add a section from another donut to make donut bigger.... simple...

This is a great idea! I honestly think you could get away with using the pool noodles in 1.9" and even 2.2" if you used 2 pieces as the inside foam and then maybe wrapped it with a softer outer foam. Maybe take some of the stock soft foams that you have kicking around and carefully cut them to fit over the pool noodle. Idk. Just a thought.

The reverse speed I’ve noticed is pretty opinionated, not necessarily an issue with the device… I don’t have twitchy hands or anything so the fast reverse does not affect how I crawl what so ever, just learn how to feather it and you’ll save money and time installing stuff for user error issues

Great video and idea. I will be making some. An idea for you, I do a lot of actual wheeling and need to keep extra parts with us for on trail repairs. We mount axles and to the inside of the frame rails. Maybe you could put a brass bushing or some thing under your truck and attaching your straps to the frame and you don't need to keep them in your pocket.

Awesome to have such a workshop. Tbh i would be too lazy to build sth. like that. Just made my first small crawler track/obstacle from some styrofoam parts that i just wildy and without much of a plan glued together. Worked fine.

for the larger tires .. why not use to pool noodle as the center stiff core and the original soft foam for the outer layer .. glue together?

Even cheaper, many aftermarket tires come with 2 sets of foams or over stiff foams inserted. Same process should work on them. Furthering and sharing knowledge such as this is what this hobby is all about for me. You have really good ideas. Keep'em coming.

Good idea, must check if i find a matching size one locally. (if you have to cut the inner and outer circle it might be hard, i have a foam cutter but not a good one.) Problem i see with these inserts, i have used the Injora silicone - is that they make venting the tires impossible, i have all my tires vented from the inside, holes in the rings and rims the silicone rings completely seal this - might be similar with this material. Might give it a try anyways.

There’s no reason why$0.10 open cell or closed cell foams cost $20 a set OR even $40 a set. This costs companies literally a penny to produce. It’s ridiculous. You’re thinking outside the box. I like it.

I use ta have hair like yours. I am 76 now and bald...good stuff, man. I sometimes cut my foams in a pointed 5 star configuration...looks like I'll be shopping for noodles.
