I can't believe some people are saying this is better than the album version! I like this A LOT!!! It's not a patch on the beautiful piece on Selling England by The Pound though? That is an absolutely sublime and wondrous instrumental masterpiece.

Love this. This is how hard work sounds. Non musicians might get the impression that this is just jamming, having fun and randomly trying out stuff, but trust me, it's not. It's highly talented young musicians successfully fighting against fatigue. The number of fantastic albums and crazy tour schedules back in the 1970s was insane.

I just saw a video blog by Steve Hackett, where he explained that he decided to use an acoustic guitar with nylon strings for the first half of this song. This must be an earlier take - great "Extra Track"!
