Question , why didnt you box it all the way, scince you removed the Attachment point would it weakin it?
You can totally box it all the way, but that’s overkill imo. The piece I removed was the factory steering stop for the tie rod end, which isn’t structural. This allows for more steering angle.
Great video, I'll definitely be doing the same when I install my wide body kit, with the front guards, they don't have an inner guard that needs to be cut does it?
On most cars, the front typically has a plastic splash guard that will either need trimmed or removed.
@@lock_to_lock awesome, thanks so much for the info 👍
Your videos are so underrated
Thanks man, glad you enjoy them!
Hell yeah shred it up yo.... I need to get me a new set of tires just thrashed mine last week😂😅

How long have you had that KA in there?!
It’s always had a KA, but has had a turbo since early 2022.
@@lock_to_lock stock bottom and top? Do you have a build breakdown?
@@lock_to_lock found it 🙌🏽 nevermind
sick video definitely <3
Thanks 🔥
Nice job 👍
Thanks 👍
🍻🍻
Well gawdang bud. Tfti. You had that wall mastered man! Soooo many clean wall rides. That big course looked so slow bc of how massive it is, grabbing 4th is nuts. What a killer experience to slide the F1 Course. So pumped for you man.
Thanks brother! It was surreal getting to drive there, I had the best time!
Wish you were in Chicagoland area and help me install a widebody!
Bring it to Texas! 🤣
You’re the man
The design of the sniper is a pita when it comes to old ford’s. Holley sort of failed on the design as the ecu control unit for the sniper is mounted in the front of the unit, and a rf radio interference aka the distributor generator sits right in the front tweaking out the computer. Run a super sniper on my 72 ranchero which has a cleveland stroker and chased my tail for months trying to get it right. Some of the biggest things I noticed that solved my problems is to check all the wiring for the sniper. Make sure both the main power supply wires are connected directly to the battery. Also the pink wire that tells the sniper the ignition key is on, that it is isolated from a noisy circuit. One way to combat that is get one of those universal relay/ wiring kits from one of the big part’s retailers and wire the power source wire to the ignition on circuit and put the pink wire by itself. Also go on amazon and get a ferrite bead kit that snaps onto wires and put one on each output and input wire coming out of the sniper unit. There are also some companies that make a rf shield that mounts on the two intake studs the sniper mounts to and it shields the ecu from interference. Lastly get rid of the steel air cleaner stud and get some plastic threaded rod as this isolates the main unit of the sniper from the air cleaner which acts as a rf antenna making the problem worse. I’d also get a better alternator better suited for electronic controlled devices, the stock alternator would not cut it for me so I upgraded to a 180 amp 1 wire gm style alternator. You don’t need one that big as you aren’t running electronic fans like I am. Also checkout efi system pro, hit them up for some pro tuning and it runs great, the guy who runs the place even built me a tune to run e85 fuel. Either way good luck and like the truck a lot.
Also forgot one thing, make up a ground wire and grind off some paint on the sniper where it mounts to the intake, and attach the other end of the wire to the motor to make a better ground for the sniper.
Thanks for the helpful tips!
@@lock_to_lock not a problem, when money is better I’d like to sell the super sniper and get a terminator as it utilizes a remote ecu and also has knock sensor capability. All for 2500 lol.
S15 are pretty 🔥

Good work as always
Thanks you sir!
Looks good! Where abouts are you located? I’m trying to get some work done if you offer this service…
Hey that’s awesome work Alex my son is wanting to the same on a Subaru legacy wagon but he’s having issues getting the wide body kit wondering if you’d be able to help us out, we live in Vancouver Bc Canada thx hope to hear from you
Thanks! I’m not too familiar with the Subaru Legacy aftermarket unfortunately.
It's definitely a great truck but it need dual exhaust and some rumble
I agree!
Great video Alex! Wish I had seen it 2 weeks ago. I just replaced position 2 with the Dorman foam crap. You have the best info on how-to on youtube! Ford should have continued using the rubber mounts not the foam crap. I will use your method next time. Thanks, Mike
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for the kind words.
Did it work out good enough for daily driver status?
Absolutely, this truck runs like a top!
Nice work
Thank you!!
Did you just eliminate the kickdown rod?
Yes I did.

The wiring is weird cuz each strip can be independently controlled with the right controller. The included remote sometimes doesn't have the feature built-in even though the system is setup for it.
This one worked pretty well for what I needed!
Love you videos man I have 1970 myself and these videos give me a great idea on how to go about it. Hope you keep it up

@lock_to_lock I just completed the swap. The Dorman bushings work perfectly. Only took about 4 hours, including the test drive. Thanks again for posting this golden video. I haven't seen any of your other videos, but this one got you a new subscriber.
