I used to consider it a conspiracy theory but then I was reading articles in the UK and the rest of Europe. The abuse eminent domain to take people's homes in order to build apartment complexes . they are paying the homeowners fractions of what the property is actually worth by rezoning for a demolition . In some cases they've only reimburse them enough for two years free rent. When individuals fight in court there's plenty of comments on not only the new stations but other articles people are calling them selfish aholes for not getting out, we need affordable housing. At this rate of government can confiscate property in the brainwashed idiots will applaud.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

Please could you help me understand this deal? house cost £145K, Refurb £200K, refinance £500K, title split, +3 bedroom house on the long garden. Total GDV £600K. Is the £600K for both houses or just the refurbed house? I thought the GDV for both houses should be more than that.

Loool I’m from Aberdeen and was like surely it has to be on the list but as it got closer to 1 I thought it was all just gonna be places in England. But yeah I know some people that have lost a lot of money in property value up here that own a property and rent it out. One thing I’m confused on though is if you buy a property in Aberdeen and renovate it, are we saying the value increases less in Aberdeen with the same amount of money for renovation as somewhere else that’s a good place to invest because more people will want to buy it? I bought a property in Aberdeen at a really good time after house prices fell and turned it from the worst house on the street to the best all through DIY. I’m pretty sure we’re gonna make money on it but this videos got me concerned it’s not gonna be as much as I think now 😂 we are a little bit outside of the city in a nice area as well.

If you listen to this pleb you are an absolute idiot. He is a hype man that is effectively encouraging you to get into debt whilst earning a shite salary. Live at home. Safe your money and sacrifice those boozey nights out, stupid holidays. Ditch the car and use public transport and pack a lunch, no more cafe Nero and office teas and coffee. If you smoke stop! Penny pinch and I promise you in three years you will have a healthy deposit, legal fees. No stamp duty as first time buyer as long as house is under 250k. I now owe a nice three bedroom semi in didsbury and I’m dojng it up slowly and in five years time I will sell and move into a nicer house. BTW I’m 24. Trainee solicitor and my current salary is 25k. I saved £60k in three years and put down 25% of the value and had enough for legal fees and some basic furniture.

Aberdeen is a no go however it’s the complete opposite of you go 20 miles away one bed flat will cost you less than £30k with a return of around £450 per month on a long term let and upwards of £1500 pcm as a holiday let ( you do now need convent for this option)

This is not what Airbnb was created for and these so called entrepreneurs are eventually going to ruin it for everyone. Cities worldwide are already clamping down. It should be simple, if you run more than one Airbnb you must register as a hospitality business and pay business rates on all properties. Its easy to make money when you have no moral compass and are a borderline sociopath.

You don't need much money to do a rent-to-rent. He doesn't own the property, he leases it for a fixed term then does airbnb/other short term leases to cover that rent. Whatever that nets is his profit. You don't need a lot of cash initially to get started.
