Club Car Golf Cart Taillights DIY Install
Creating some homemade taillights for my new-to-me 2003 Club Car Turf 2 electric out of some 12v trailer lights I had lying around the garage from another purchase. I got the hardware, wiring, and the aluminum that I used to fabricate the brackets from Home Depot for $29 and had materials to spare. Overall a quick and fun afternoon project!

Doing some basic fuel system troubleshooting on my 1996 Toyota Hilux Surf with the 1KZ-TE turbo diesel engine. It had been running well since I replaced the fuel filter about a month ago but then she just lost power, sputtered out and died on me in the neighborhood. Today we are doing a little bit of electrical troubleshooting on a pretty rough Yamaha 40hp 2 stroke outboard motor I recently picked up in Tifton GA sight unseen for $650. When I got the motor, it would not turn over at all - In this video we track down the culprit that was causing the motor to not turn over. A quick look at a 2006 Yamaha 25hp 2 stroke outboard boat motor I picked up this past weekend in Elberton GA for $240 this past weekend. Sadly I decided to make the tough decision to part this motor out as it had quite a few problems (and questionable compression). More videos to come!

Taking a look at a 1988 Yamaha outboard motor that I recently purchased. I ended up selling this motor for $2,000 and the boat trailer for another $1,000 - good little score!
I have this same exact motor and cannot find fuel filter and other maintenance parts. Where did you find parts?
I just one of these for free from my uncle, has about 20 hours on it, got serviced 10 years ago and has been idle since, going to try start it tomorrow 😁

The water pump was or was the impeller cuz mine barley pumped water and i only replaced impeller but ive had snow come thru so i can restart it yet

Thanks - I am thinking it's either bad capacitor(s) on the ECU (common issue on these) or a shift solenoid. Hopefully nothing too expensive!

Thank you! Part of the reason I got this is because I had a couple of 3rd gen 4runners in the past - a green '97 v6 4wd and a black 2000 v6 2wd. Both had 275,000+ miles and both still ran and drove great when I sold them. Hard to kill these older Toyotas!
@@Deals_on_Wheels I had a Red 1986 4Runner 5speed Manual 4x4, Metallic Grey 1997 4Runner 2.7 liter 4cyl 5speed Manual 4x4, and currently a 1999 4Runner Limited 2x4 3.4 liter.
That toyota will run circles around any American rigs. Btw nice hilux bro!

Good deal for a yammy ! The 9.9 and 15s go for 1000-1500 easy and their light . I had a 70hp yammy same era loved it !
The older 2 stroke Yamaha's are hard to beat. My favorite outboards as you can probably tell!

Man, you scored on that one. But seeing that water pump like that is making me want to change mine out before getting it running again. Mine hasn't run in about 15 years now if I remember correctly.
Thank you! It's crazy how much of a difference a new water pump will make. To be honest I probably should have checked the water pump before attempting to start this engine. I wouldn't want to cause more issues by clogging the water passageways with pieces of the old impeller. Luckily these older motors are super easy to work on at home.

I ended up selling this motor for $1,950
I have a 83 evinrude 25 that had the neutral safety switch causing my starting issues. I adjusted it a bit to where it made better contact and it fixed it for me. Glad you figured yours out too!
Often times with these older motors the problem can be a simple fix once you are able to track it down!

Sure did - I ended up selling the motor for $1700 and the boat + trailer for $600 to get it out of my yard since it is December🤣
