I don’t understand why it is so important that we prove that there is no pre-existence. It sounds like a beautiful doctrine. If it is true, it is magnificent and awesome. If it isn’t true, then that’s kind of depressing. I hope the Mormons are right.

The Restoration is the only belief system that is biblical. All of the Protestant churches along with Catholicism have to alter or deny biblical passages to get them to agree with their Greek philosophic-theism. Which is man made. The Restoration isn't man made. It's Restored by God Himself.

Mormons follow other doctrines that lead to another god (who was a man who earned his godhood), another Jesus (satans spirit brother), and another spirit. It’s not Christianity. The Bible is clear, God is spirit and Jesus is God incarnate (John 1:1). God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one God revealed in three personages.

In LDS thought, an exalted physical body is not what makes God God. All members of the Godhead are God, with or without a body. Jesus Christ was God before he was born of Mary, and the Holy Spirit (no physical body) is also God. Blake Ostler's "Exploring Mormon Thought" explores the questions in this video. Also, there's actually relatively little when it comes to what Latter-day Saints "have to" believe in order to join and remain in the Church (see the baptimal interview questions). I'm pretty sure a member could flat out reject almost everything brought up in this video and not be excommunicated.

Typical Anti-Mormon misinformation and deception. Now this isn't just some loose lipped criticism.. It's objectively true. Let consider. One tactic anti-Mormons use is to take a tenant of belief and frame it out of context. Usually in some pejorative way as to make the doctrine seem strange to those who don't know better.. That's the "Deception and misinformation' For instance If I told you that the Bible teaches "There is NO GOD".. and Christians believe in the Bible therefore they are Atheists. If you didn't know better you might actually believe that . However we know the truth is different. Yes, the Bible says "There is NO GOD".. however that snippet is out of context, and to frame it in a way that suggests Christians are atheists is misrepresenting and deceptive at best. This is what Dave does. Which begs the question.. Is Dave really a Christian? Christ taught to treat others the way you would want to be treated.. So does Dave want others to disparage his beliefs and frame them in an out of context deceptive way ? If not then why does he do that to LDS beliefs? Simply put his actions rather demonstrate he's NOT Christian.. most Anti-Mormons are not Followers of Christ, but followers and slaves of their own emotional Antipathy. Now for the truth.. Yes, LDS believe God the Father has a body of Flesh and bones. Jesus does also.. he proved this when he was resurrected and the promise is that we will all be like him. And Jesus taught if you see him you've seen the Father. Isn't that what Christians believe ? So the question is where did the Father get his body of flesh and bones? fair question.. and it's not something that is codified in scripture, therefore it's what we call 'Speculative Doctrine".. doctrine that is derived from speeches etc from past leaders.. And the answer typically is that in some eternal time or realm long before the beginning of present eternal time or realm.. Our Father in Heaven went through all the same things we are going through here. Where or exactly when this happened we do not know, anymore than you're Evangelical Christian can tell you how to reconcile the Trinity paradox. And is it even relevant to our salvation ? NO But once again , this is speculative doctrine. It speculation as to "Where did God Come from".. Every religion has to wrestle with that and in doing so Dave here appeals to Genesis.. and proceeds to read INTO Genesis his own IMAGINED Beliefs instead of what the text ACTUALLY Says. This is called an Eisegesis. Dave in effect is making himself into God and projecting meaning into the Biblical text that isn't actually there. But we can forgive him for he knows not what he does. For starters.. Genesis 1 doesn't say God created everything from Nothing.. This becomes self evident if you read a Bible translation that more accurately translates the Hebrew. The text most Scholars turn to is the NRSV.. New Revised Standard Version. There is even a NRSVUE which refers to the updated Version. It's was produced by a consortium of various scholars and translators of a wide range of faiths. Unlike other translations such as the NIV which has an OVERT Evangelical Bias and often translates text in ways the conform to Evangelical dogma rather than what the Hebrew actually intended. Gen 1:1-3 is one of those examples. *When* God began to create the heavens and the earth, the *earth was complete chaos*, and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of *the waters*. *Then* God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Gen 1:1-3 NRSVUE Hebrew scholars will tell you this more accurately reflect what the text says.. Notice the sentence structure and the prepositions that are missing in other English translations. Verses 1 and 2 are not separate sentences as in other translations.. they are ONE complete thought using a couple of prepositional clauses. It starts with a "WHEN".. and describes the conditions that exist.. "Earth was complete Chaos".. "Darkness covered the face of the deep." And of course the "waters were already there".. Only "THEN" does God say let there be light. Notice this isn't describing a scenario of Ex-Nihlo (out of nothing).. That idea wasn't in the minds of the Bible writers at all.. It wouldn't become a thing until centuries after Jesus. So you can see here that God wasn't floating around in some NOTHINGNESS before the creation in Gen 1.. Dave needs to rethink his criticism but not likely as most Anti-Mormons are slaves to their antipathy and thus the spirit of Truth doesn't actually abide within them.. Now with regards to the Trinity, Does Dave even know where that doctrine comes from ? It's NOT from the Bible.. I doubt Dave has ever take the time to study it out. He just holds to his antipathy. and associating himself with Trinitarians is convenient. For those who seek the truth.. Take a deep dive and study it out. The Trinity wasn't something that Jesus or the Apostles ever taught.. It wouldn't emerge until the 4th century.. In the first centuries of Christianity it wasn't even a thought. What happens in history is that about the end of the 3rd century , the teachings of a Greek philosopher named Plotinus was becoming popular in the Roman Empire. This teaching is known as Neo-Platonism. A fundamental tenet of Platonis teaching was the doctrine of "The One".. and universal being from which all thing emanate. Alexandria Egypt was the center of philosophical thought and teaching. In the early 4th century the Bishop of Alexandria Athanasius had a dispute with a Deacon name Arius over the nature of the Father and Son, which in turn resulted in the council in Nicaea 325. Where the majority of bishops of the time sided with the Bishop of Alexandria in the adoption of a otherwise "Gnostic" term _Homoousios_ which means same substance in Greek philosophical terms. This adoption of applying this philosophical idea to the Father and son played in to the overall effort to conflate Neo-Platonism with Christianity. Later the Holy Spirit would be incorporated into the formula which in the late 4th century would be codified in the Athanasian Creed.. The Trinity dogma is logically incoherent , thus it was understandably a tough sell for some. So in 380 the Emperor Theodosius would issue and edict declaring anyone who didn't accept this would be deemed heretics , to be punished. Executions in the Name of Jesus would begin shortly thereafter. So Dave here is demonstrating more that in his own antipathy he's continuing to be an disciple of the Emperor and his orthodoxy rather than being a disciple of Christ.

I’ve been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life and have never once heard that God, our Father, was birthed by a mother. Yes, I’ve heard of the virgin birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and I do know that however crazy and impossible some have said that was, I know it did happen. So, although I’d never thought of it before, if God truly does have a mother, there are those that would say it was crazy and impossible, too. If God’s ways aren’t our ways (as it says in the scriptures) then perhaps we don’t know everything yet. I’ve done a fair share of thinking about God and who He is. Why He does what He does. How I can better align my will with His, etc. I truly hope that one day I’ll be able to be in His presence and be with Him. We know Adam was created in His image, and, therefore, if Adam (there’s another crazy and impossible birth story) looked anything like we do, then we have an idea of what God looks like. I have an idea of what I’ll see before me if I am worthy to be in His presence again. And, yes, while I’ve never once heard of, nor have been taught about, God’s mother, I do know that in this universe in which we all live, there are things we laugh at now, but simply don’t comprehend yet. One day…

I understand this is why I put this video out. However your beliefs state that he is an exalted man with flesh and bones. Jesus who is God came down from heaven and was birthed by Mary, the most worthy and blessed woman ever. Jesus has an exalted body of flesh and bones as your belief that your Heavenly Father does. So He has to have been birthed. Does this make sense now?

@@DaveBartosiewicz It’s not that 1 +1 doesn’t equal 2. It’s that we’re advised to stay with the basics of the gospel and keep focused on what’s before us, because if we get wrapped up into some of these areas that don’t provide us with spiritual sustenance, we can just waste our time by losing sight of the things that truly matter. While it’s possible that God, our Father, was once an infant and had parents of His own, I, personally, don’t think about it and haven’t had anyone bring it up in any church setting. Now, on the other hand, the hymn, “Oh My Father” it reads: “In the heavens are parents single? No; the thought makes reason stare! Truth is reason; truth eternal, Tells me I’ve a mother there.” Now this I’ve thought about and from time to time and is a wonderful thing that brings me joy. I look forward to seeing Her. Whether, or not, anyone believes this is their’s to decide, but I absolutely do.

    • @daffodilfleur
      @daffodilfleur Před 6 dny

@@DaveBartosiewicz It doesn’t say God created the entire universe at that time, and science tells us the universe is still expanding. In the KJV it states He “created the heaven and the earth.” The heaven refers to space He determined, not space as how we interpret it to be. The verbiage “In the beginning” doesn’t refer to the beginning of all, rather it refers to the beginning of this particular creative process. Look at Bereshit in Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and notice that it starts off as “When God began to create heaven and earth-earth being unformed and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep”. Where are you reading about how God came to be, how He created what He did, and exactly How much He created? Genesis 1-5 doesn’t answer these questions.

_"we believe that we can share in the Energies of God, but never His Essence."_ We don't believe we share God's "essences", this sounds ridiculous and more so in Latter Day Saint theology than in Christian theology. _"Mormons believe you can actually become a God yourself"_ Exaltation was taught by many of the Early Church Fathers like Clement of Alexandria “But that man with whom the Word dwells does not alter himself, does not get himself up: he has the form which is of the Word; he is made like to God; he is beautiful; he does not ornament himself: his is beauty, the true beauty, for it is God; *and that man becomes God, since God so wills. Heraclitus, then, rightly said, "Men are gods, and gods are men."* For the Word Himself is the manifest mystery: God in man, and man God." - Instructor 3:1 “After which redemption the reward and the honors are assigned to those who have become perfect; when they have got done with purification, and ceased from all service, though it be holy service, and among saints. Then become pure in heart, and near to the Lord, there awaits them restoration to everlasting contemplation; and *they are called by the appellation (meaning title) of gods, being destined to sit on thrones with the other gods that have been first put in their places by the Saviour.”* - Stromata VII, 10 *“I say, the Word of God became man, that thou mayest learn from man how man may become God.”* - Extortion to the heathen chapter 1. Justin Martyr “But as my discourse is not intended to touch on this point, but to prove to you that the Holy Ghost reproaches men because they were made like God, free from suffering and death, provided that they kept His commandments, and were deemed deserving of the name of His sons, and yet they, becoming like Adam and Eve, work out death for themselves; let the interpretation of the Psalm [82] be held just as you wish, *yet thereby it is demonstrated that all men are deemed worthy of becoming “gods,”* and of having power to become sons of the Highest; and shall be each by himself judged and condemned like Adam and Eve.” - Dialogue With Trypho, 124 Theophilus of Antioch “For if He had made [man] immortal from the beginning, He would have made him God. Again, if He had made him mortal, God would seem to be the cause of his death. Neither, then, immortal nor yet mortal did He make him, but, as we have said above, capable of both; so that if he should incline to the things of immortality, keeping the commandment of God, he should receive as reward from Him immortality, and [man] should become God." - To Autolycus, 2:27 Irenaeus of Lyons “‘'I said, Ye are all the sons of the Highest, and gods; but ye shall die like men.' (Psalms 82:6) He speaks undoubtedly these words to those who have not received the gift of adoption, but who despise the incarnation of the pure generation of the Word of God, defraud human nature of promotion into God, and prove themselves ungrateful to the Word of God, who became flesh for them. For it was for this end that the Word of God was made man, and He who was the Son of God became the Son of man, that man, having been taken into the Word, and receiving the adoption, might become the son of God." - Against Heresies III, 19:1 *“For we cast blame upon Him, because we have not been made gods from the beginning, but at first merely men, then at length gods;* although God has adopted this course out of His pure benevolence, that no one may impute to Him invidiousness or grudgingness. He declares, “I have said, You are gods; and you are all sons of the Highest.” (Psalms 82:6) But since we could not sustain the power of divinity, He adds, “But you shall die like men,” setting forth both truths - the kindness of His free gift, and our weakness, and also that we were possessed of power over ourselves. For after His great kindness He graciously conferred good [upon us], and made men like to Himself, [that is] in their own power; while at the same time by His prescience He knew the infirmity of human beings, and the consequences which would flow from it; but through [His] love and [His] power, He shall overcome the substance of created nature.” - Against Heresies IV, 38:4 Tertullian of Carthage “Now, although Adam was by reason of his condition under law subject to death, yet was hope preserved to him by the Lord's saying, 'Behold, Adam is become as one of us;' that is, *in consequence of the future taking of the man into the divine nature."* - Against Marcion, 2:25 “Well, then, you say, we ourselves at that rate posses nothing of God. But indeed we do, and shall continue to do - only it is from Him that we receive it, and not from ourselves. *For we shall be even gods, if we shall deserve to be”* - Against Hermogenes, 5 There are more quotes from many more people but these are just the ones I like the best. _" I guess you have to adopt some sort of "circular time" doctrine to make any sense of that, with no beginning or end"_ What? This just proves plain ignorance of our doctrine. D&C 93:29 “Man was also in the beginning with God. *Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.”* Also in Abraham 3:18 “Howbeit that he made the greater star; as, also, if there be two spirits, and one shall be more intelligent than the other, yet these two spirits, *notwithstanding one is more intelligent than the other, have no beginning; they existed before, they shall have no end, they shall exist after, for they are gnolaum, or eternal.”* So there are 2 of our own scriptures that God, Jesus and us are eternal. We all have had no beginning and will have no end, the difference is when we have progressed into the next stage. Whatever form of birth process that happens up there would be similar to how birth changes us from a spiritual being to a physical being with flesh and blood here on earth but instead would be from what the pre spiritual being is to a spiritual being

This was mass murder by Brigham Young and his cronies who decided they wanted the wealth these families had. He saw the riches of this as wagon train. This was not a military action. The murderers stole the belongings of the dead. Young became rich. Over $100,000 In gold and 900 longhorn cattle, 250!stock horses, a fine racing horse, gold and dumber fine jewelry, gold watches. Four beautifully carved carriages, 49 wagons filled with furniture and treasures. 38 of the murdered were children. This was not a war action, these were families trying to make a new life in California. The brutality of the murders cannot be forgotten. Toddlers had their heads bashed against wagon wheels, some were raped and stabbed, their throats slit, men were shot point blank. The clothing was stripped from the bodies and tithed to the church, blood soaked and all. The murderers spared 17 children but mostly because they could become slave laborers. This was not revenge or military or war action. This was to make it possible for Brigham Young to build his temple and build house for his 40 whores. He even gave hi favorite wife one of the carriages and fine jewelry. I wonder if he told her how he came by these gifts.

The Truth of the Matter is... The PREPARED BODY created solely by God and conceived by the Holy Spirit for God's Son/Word had only the Complete Spiritual DNA of God (Image and Likeness) ALONE just like when God created ADAM on the 6th Day. (ref. Gen. 1:24-31 / Hebrew 10:5) without any other DNA... Instead of God creating the NEW ADAM (Christ Jesus) the same way as the Fallen ADAM from the DUST/CLAY, God used the WOMB of a Young Maiden called MARY... She was the 1st Modern-Day SURROGATE MOTHERHOOD that God had accomplished before Mankind had proven that it was 100% possible in 1985, the 20th Cent. A.D. ... WHY not created from the Dust/Clay again?... So that, the PREPARED BODY will not return to DUST/CLAY... unlike ADAM and his descendants (Mankind) from DUST he was created, and to DUST he shall return (ref. Genesis 3:19)... The PREPARED BODY has a complete 46 Chromosomes from God (YHWH) alone without any DNA from Mary... WHY?... so that, NO ONE can BOAST that without Blessed Mary's DNA (23 Chromosomes) the Physical Body of Christ is not POSSIBLE... Even if, Mary declined the TASK given to her... God could still find a WAY when there seems to be no possible WAY. (ref. Isaiah 43:16-21)... NOTHING is impossible with God... (ref. Luke 1:37) According to Medical Science, after 24 Hours the Blood of the Dead Body starts to decay, by 48 hours the Flesh starts to decay and foul-odor starts to come out from the body... that is why Jews and Muslims buried their Dead Bodies without Embalming just after 24 Hours... Christ's Dead Body did not DECAY even after 3 Days in the Tomb before HE was Resurrected by God on the Early Morning of SUNDAY, 1st day of the Week... according to the 4 Gospel Writers (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)... Blessed Mary never carried the "SPIRIT of the Word/Son of God" in her Womb for 9 months. The Holy Spirit CONCEIVED the PREPARE BODY created by God (YHWH) and dwelt upon Mary's WOMB in the form of a Ferilized Eggcell (Fetus) was the one she carried for 9 months, and as soon after the PREPARED BODY was born in a form of an INFANT (BABY) BOY in Bethlehem, the "SPIRIT of the Word/Son of God" immediately entered the Baby Boy and St. Joseph called him JESUS (Yeshua)... In the same manner/way the "SPIRIT of the WORD/SON "entered the Prepared Body created by God as an Infant Boy called Jesus, the same manner/way Christ Jesus exited the dying Prepared Body on the Cross, by saying... "It is finished, Father (God) into Thy Hands I commit/commend/place/give/entrust My SPIRIT (Word/Son)." (ref. Luke 23:46 /John 19:30). Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen...

In the Eyes of the Hebrew Community where Jesus grew up, those siblings mentioned were Christ's Biological Siblings from Blessed Mary and not Half-Brothers or Half-sisters. Christ Jesus' PREPARED BODY did not come from Blessed Mary, it was created solely by God. (ref. Hebrews 10:5). Blessed Mary was the 1st Surrogate Motherhood of Christ Jesus... God was the 1st to do the SURROGATION before Mankind discovered that it is 100% Possible to do with Modern Science and Technology... In reality, Christ Jesus has NO Biological Siblings... but Blessed Mary and St. Joseph had their own Biological Sons and Daughters before St. Joseph died. In those days, there were NO Specific Greek Words for Biological Brother/s, Half-Brother/s, Step-Brother/s, or BRETHREN (Brotherhood)... they use only one GREEK WORD for all specific words which is ADELPHOI (singular/brother) or ADELPHOIS (plural/brothers) regardless Biological, Half, Step, or Brethren/Brothehood... Therefore, in Matt. 13:55 the Greek Word ADELPHOIS (plural/brothers) means "Half-Brothers."... while in 1 Corin. 15:6, the Greek Word ADELPHOIS (plural/brothers) means BRETHREN/BROTHERHOOD (non-biological brothers and sisters but Brethren/Brothers in Faith)... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen.

Matt. 1:25... the English word "KNEW HER NOT" is a Modest Way to say, "NOT having Sexual Intercourse with her yet"... TILL she had brought forth (gave birth/past tense) to her FIRSTBORN Son, Christ Jesus. Remember the Original Scripture was not written in the English Language... so the English word "UNTIL" or "TILL" was not accurately the same in context and meaning in the Old Greek Language... the most accurate and closer in context and meaning to the Original Greek word is the English word "BEFORE"... Logically and grammatically speaking, it would not be specified FIRSTBORN SON, if there were NO 2nd or 3rd Son... otherwise, it should have been written "I knew her not till (before) she had brought forth (gave birth/past tense) to her ONLY SON, Christ Jesus."... In conclusion, AFTER Blessed Mary gave birth to her FIRSTBORN SON, that was the only time Joseph had KNEW HER...(had a Marital Relationship with her)... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen.

Yes, Joseph and Mary had a Normal (Biblical) Marriage having Children of their own after the firstborn Son, Christ Jesus... (ref. Matt. 1:28). The UNBIBLICAL Marriage is when a couple has taken an OATH of Marriage Vow under God (not from the state/govt.), at the same time practicing the Vow of Celibacy... Christ Jewas born to a NORMAL FAMILY with a BIBLICAL MARRIAGE under God... St. Paul taught, that a Married Couple must NOT DEPRIVE each other of a Marital (Sexual) Relationship and Obligation for the WIFE is no longer have authority over her Body, but the Husband, and vice-versa... however, they may ABSTAIN for a time (temporarily) upon mutual consent and must return to their normal marital relationship so that Satan may not find FAULT in their Marriage due to Lack of Self-Control... (ref. 1 Corin. 7:4-5)... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen.

Take note... the "PREPARE BODY" of Christ Jesus was created solely by His Father God (YHWH).. (ref. Hebrew 10:5)... Angel Gabriel said that the HOLY SPIRIT (not the Word/Son) will dwell upon her (Mary) and bear a Son, to be named as Jesus (Yeshua)... That means the Holy Spirit will CONCEIVE the Prepared Body created by God and place the Fertilized Eggcell (Fetus) into the WOMB of Blessed Mary... thus, she became the 1ST Modern day "SURROGATE MOTHERHOOD." Just like (Fallen) ADAM was created by God solely from God's Image and Likeness (God's DNA)... likewise, the NEW ADAM (Christ Jesus), the PREPARED BODY was also created solely by God's Image and Likeness without any HUMAN DNA which comes from Blessed Mary... so that, no one could BOAST, that if not from Mary the manifested Flesh of Christ was not possible... for NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE with GOD... (ref. Luke 1:37)... The Apostles CREED supported this declaration... (in part)... "HE (Christ Jesus) was CONCEIVED by the HOLY SPIRIT and BORN by the Blessed Mary... (and so on)." "Blessed is the WOMB that bore the Son of God, the Savior." (ref. Luke 11:27-28)... so, the WOMB of Mary is BLESSED, which was why she was called Blessed Mary and not VIRGIN MARY... The Prophecy of Mary came true... she said, "I will be called BLESSED among women and BLESSED is the fruit of your WOMB for all generations to come... (ref. Luke 1:42-45)... Early Christians of the 1st and 2nd Cent. A.D. and Evangelical Christians of today called and acknowledged her as BLESSED MARY and not Virgin Mary as The Roman Catholics do due to their Doctrine of PERPETUAL VIRGINITY... which is not written in the Bible... NON-BIBLICAL... St. Paul said, "DO NOT GO BEYOND WHAT IS WRITTEN."... (ref. 1 Corin. 4:6)... and warned Christians regarding False Teachings... (ref. Galatians 1:8)... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen.

The Vow of CELIBACY defeated the purpose of the MARRIAGE Vow... When God created Adam and Eve, immediately commanded them to "Go and Multiply and fill the Earth.: (ref. Gen. 1:28) ... What to fill the Earth?... Human Siblings/Children... not animal or angelic siblings... Again, the Main reason why NORMAL People get into MARRIAGE VOWS is to BUILD a FAMILY of their own out of LOVE and not from pure sexual pleasure only... Take Note:... DYSFUNCTION to Perform the Marital Sexual Relationship due to OLD AGE or ILLNESS/DISEASE is not an ACT of CELIBACY or CHASTE... St. Paul taught us, that Married Couples must NOT DEPRIVE each other from Marital Sex for the Wife no longer has the authority over her body but her Husband, and vice versa... and ABSTAIN temporarily (not permanently) from Sexual Relationships by mutual consent... WHEN?... during PRAYERS, weekly SABBATH, Religious FESTIVALS, PERIODS (menstruation cycle), PREGNANCIES, and ILLNESS/SICKNESS... but after that, they must proceed back to their Normal Marital Relationship so that Satan may not find ways to test and defile their marriage vows due to lack of SELF-CONTROL... (ref. 1 Corinthians 7:4-5)... In conclusion, the RIGHT TIME to FREELY accept the Vow of CELIBACY (Chaste) is when your SPOUSE has passed away (dead), then, you are FREE from your MARRIAGE Vows, while still capable of performing the ACT of Sexual Relationship... God (YHWH) never created MARRIAGE for the purpose of UNITY, UNION, or UNITIVE alone... After EVE (1st Woman) was created out of the Bone and Flesh of ADAM (1st Man), they were BOTH commanded by God to "Go and Multiply to fill the Earth." (marital sexual relationship for procreation). (ref. Gen. 1:28). Getting married is to BUILD a FAMILY, and not merely companionship alone... Without Children is not a FAMILY... That is why in those days, as soon as the Young Maiden had their PERIODS (menstruation cycle) they were already allowed by their parents to get married for a bigger and better chance of getting pregnant (the younger woman, the better)... Facts and Truth of the Matters... Amen...

Don't be FOOLED... "It is better for a Man (or Woman) to MARRY than to BURN with Passion." (ref. 1 Corinthians 7:9)... Genesis 2:18 is not about the "VOW OF CELIBACY" but about having a SUITABLE (ideal) HELPER or PARTNER or WIFE... (not slave)... According to the Mosaic Law of the O.T... The Husband has the right to divorce his Wife, if she can not bear a CHILD (verse-versa) and ADULTERY or FORNICATION... Logically, speaking, YOUNG Couples' purpose of marriage is to CONSUMMATE (marital sexual relationship) their marriage for procreation to build a FAMILY... without a Child or Children is not a FAMILY, just a Married Couple... Older People, 60 years or older (Widows/Widowers), often get married for the main purpose of COMPANIONSHIP only... Blessed Mary was a young Maiden (14-18 years old) and St. Joseph was a Young Adult (20 to 25 or older) who does not need only COMPANIONSHIP but also a Marital Relationship to build a FAMILY... St. Ann and St. Joachim, parents of Blessed Mary would not allow their Young Daughter to marry any OLD WIDOWER with Children already, logically speaking... Normally and Morally, Parents do not ALLOW this kind of Marriage for their Children, unless the OLD WIDOWER is rich or for the purpose of material security only... Next, it is true, St. Paul teaches, that Married Couples must NOT DEPRIVE each other and ABSTAIN temporarily (not permanently) from Sexual Relationships... WHEN?... during, PRAYERS, weekly SABBATH, Religious FESTIVALS, PERIODS (menstruation cycle), PREGNANCIES, and ILLNESS/SICKNESS... but after that, they must proceed back to their Normal Marital Relationship so that Satan may not find ways to defile their marriage vows due to lack of SELF-CONTROL... (ref. 1 Corinthians 7:5)... Did God choose Joseph to be the Foster/Guardian Father of Christ Jesus?... YES, 100%, because St. Joseph was a descendant of King David while Blessed Mary was in the lineage of King Solomon, son of King David... The Angel said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your Wife." (ref. Matt. 1:20-25)... Facts and Truth of the Matters, Biblically and Logically speaking... At 12:37 The priest states that the Orthodox have the fullness of the truth. This is true from the sense of it being the lineage of Christianity. Before I came into Orthodoxy I had a foundational faith in the sovereignty and power of God's salvation in me through Christ. However I became Orthodox and was led astray because they taught me to trust in my works and in my own will power as though it was what was saving me. Long fasts, requirements to go to church, confessions every month, and other things which I needed to do in order to be considered walking in the faith. I had to leave the assembly of the Orthodox. Their works based gospel and fears that we can loose our salvation along with icons central to worship of God (another topic which I could go into) laid heavy burdens grievous to be born upon my shoulders. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and you will be saved. Know he is in you and working out his salvation. This is not done by our will power or by our work. It is accomplished by exercising your faith in the living God who has not given you over to destruction. The truth is that our salvation is based upon the work of God in us from the onset of having faith in him for salvation from sin and death. It is God who is at work in us. This is the foundation and let no one forget it. God's church is not belonging to an organized religion but it is belonging to Christ and clinging to him for the forgiveness of sins and him saving us through his life giving Spirit imparted to us. If any Christian convert to Orthodoxy ask yourself why? Make sure you know the grace that has been given you is enough. It is a beautiful church and has the appearance of Godliness but be careful for it has many kinds of teachers.

Ohhh myyy word!!! He's an 'alleged' elder of the church, and yet, he was so incredibly dishonest with me that it was sickening. Sadly, he works as the Resident Manager of the building I live in, and now that I have called him out on his dishonest behavior, he is so unbelievably hurtful to me. I have had to separate myself from him as much as possible, but he stands strong in his beliefs, and is quite convinced that his narcissistic behavior towards women is completely acceptable. I just came across this video, and I'm just like, wowww!!! Thank you sooo much for showing me that I am not as crazy as he tried to convince me I was. God bless you!
