I used to do that a lot. If you have a grill, I would cook them that way to really test the theory.

Welcome back, Ashley!!! I haven't tried these yet bu want to. I do love the Original ones along with the Beyond Nuggets. I have noticed the samething about the coating on some of the Original ones. They used not to be like that. 🤔

I cook them about three times as long as the instructions say. They get nice and crispy.
Because that 11 minutes just didn’t feel like enough. I had them a couple more times since the review and find myself adding a little more cook time each time. Let me double it for the next go around.
@@FrobulousVeggies Yes, I feel like most of those frozen type foods need to be cooked longer than the recommendation to make them crispy.

I like spicy foods, but I definitely prefer the original version of these. I would rather just dip those in buffalo sauce or something.

@FrobulousVeggies The Original ones are GOOD!! Sometimes I'll toss them in a Buffalo sauce or other sauces. One day last.week, I tossed them in a General Tso's sauce. Made General Tso's Chick'n Broccoli Mac and Cheese Flatbread. It was delicious!
@jackdentjr.7251 I’m sure they’re really good in General Tso sauce. I would pair that with some rice and veggies.
I may need to get these for my boys. They eat nuggets quite often. But I’ll look for nonspicy of course!

Tastes different, but I don't dislike it. Will definitely be using this as my go-to beef substitute for burgers and ground.
I tried the PB&J and it was inedible 🤢🤮🤢They are not even remotely close to even a Dollartree bootleg Poptart.

Thanks for this review. I prefer the old one as well so far. When I've prepared this avocado oil version using my same technique and seasonings, the tastes are off. Gonna give it another shot tonight 😅

I used this burger to substitute for corn bread because I am allergic to corn...Sadly Hillary sold her company and I cannot find these anymore.
Oh no. I hate when that happens with veggie friendly products. It’s hard to find a good one you can truly enjoy then it changes or gets discontinued.

I would consider it processed. Sadly a lot of our foods are technically processed these days. I try to create balance with fresh fruits and veggies where I can.

I’m sure you can. I would test it out and see.
I didn't really like the meati classic steak either, and neither did my wife. I think maybe I didn't cook it enough. It cooked it until is was brown, but it might need more of a sear. I've seen other people cook it until it had black grill marks on it, maybe I'll try that next time.
I can see it improving the taste if it was grilled. Sometimes the smokiness from a grill helps a lot.
Getting a vegetarians opinion about meat alternatives seems counterproductive. I rather hear a meat eaters opinion

I've never had the ground round but bought the newly formulated patties with avocado oil as it was on sale and it tastes much better..ironically, it smells too much like meat.. I had to put the fan on...I am not a vegetarian nor a vegan but I am open to trying many new 'foods'.. I highly recommend Abbotts Kitchen, which has very clean ingredients ( plant based ground chicken, beef and chorizo) BTW- Your beautiful green shirt goes with avocado!
