This scene makes no sense. It could have been so easy for the store owner: he tells Travis to scram with his pistol, tells the cops exactly what happened and gives a false descyof the vigilante (Travis). Or: seeing that there were no witnesses, he tells Travis to drag the body in the back, wipes up the blood, and makes the body disappear (easy to do back in the 70's) Instead he keeps the incriminating weapon and only creates problems for himself.

This is a good scene, but you also can't deny that the knife fight scene at the beginning is also good. If someone pulls a knife, and the person they pulled it on smiles, you know someone is getting BEAT.

Sure Vin was tough in the scene but I think it says everything about how much of an asshole that ballcap guy was that literally NO ONE said ANYTHING. Usually someone would have said "he's had enough!" from the crowd but everyone was dead silent and many extras gave the "Well, he had it coming!" body language very well!

In reality any teacher/staff member whose acting this way towards a student would be reprimanded, and most likely fired as well. There's a difference between coaching and being down right disrespectful and insulting towards a student, especially here where he's pretty much calling him a gay wimp.

I remember seeing this in the theater, it made me laugh so freaking hard right here. The actor who played the couch was just hysterical 😂. I would love to see the bloopers from this scene 😊.
