You gotta give the manager a lot of credit and respect for trying to protect his workers from a violent killing physcopath even though he worked for all the mob gangsters in Gotham
Perfect intro for a villain... Only matched by Thanos' intro in infinity war. Sets the mood and Jokers personality of screw the rules I'm the ultimate wild card.
One of the best openings ever. I was blown away by this. They honestly don't make movies like this anymore. The way the joker moves is so creepy. He convinced all those guys to kill each other. The joker works alone. He doesn't trust nobody. Not even the guys who works for him. Thats what makes him twisted and sinister. "Funny he told me the something similiar." "No, No!" *shoots him*
No one mentions that when the bank manager is closing in and they are counting his shells the other robber asks the Joker if the manager ran out of shots: "hes out right?" The Joker thinks for a second and then nods; trying to get him killed by the managers last shot, because he probably knew that he had actually one shell left. Genius part by Joker.
I was wondering about that when I saw this for the first time. I was thinking that he really should be more careful, he might get someone killed by accident. I do wonder how he would know if the manager ran out.
@@ducminhnguyen7835 That makes sense. I recall one show where a person pulled something similar by saying that he knows his guns. As it turns out while he does know his guns, he does not know his arithmetic.
Even though the manager of the bank is a crime boss mob dealer. He deserves so much respect and a lot of credit for trying to protect his workers from a violent clown physcopath and for being a bad ass.
He was likely more worried about protecting the mob’s money. As if anything goes wrong with it they’ll kill him. However I do agree props to him for trying to protect everyone at the same time.
The mask that joker wears is similar looking to the one the joker wore in the 1966 Batman TV show in that one episode where Cesar Romero's Joker was dressed as Pagliacci
*I still remember when word was out that Heath was gonna play the Joker, everyone was like “that’s the worse choice this-and-that” damn were they wrong.*
At first it was an odd choice because his movie experience at the time was questionable. He had done mostly simple drama films. Even I raised an eyebrow when they announced it.
Everyone else only killed someone that the boss (joker) said they should kill. Could get in trouble for killing the wrong person. And besides, it was a lot of cash.
@@jacksonj-wk8cl no, it was too big for his mouth, he couldnt open it any wider, and either way, he was paralyzed(being shot in about 4 places, since joker has a burst weapon.).
Anyone else feel like the clown that was gonna take out Joker realized what was going on because he’s a little older and experienced. idk I get a vibe from him.
Such a iconic awesome scene, and a surprising way to introduce Joker.. I love it! Oh, and to me it's actually difficult to choose which opening scene is better between this and the Dark Knight Rises one with Bane, both a epic way to start a spectacular movie.
I know no one probably realizes this. And if you did, well, props. Literally lol. But. If you slow down the video. And you watch when the second to last bank robber is killed by the shotgun, and the joker slides over to the other counter. When the joker slides over the floor, you can visually see his shoes change mid slide. Brown oxfords for the stunt double and black boots/work shoes for Mr. Ledger. Everything else is exactly the same. Except some fray hairs. But well.... What can you do when working with Mr. Ledger.
@@iimmaxgaming5268 It's a mistake. You can see the body in the background at 4:00, before he walks back over to the bus, but then as he's walking, still before he gets back over there, it's gone.
I love this scene for its cleverness and all but it breaks my heart that the bank manager had to start talking to the joker when he was barely alive. What is rescue help had been on the way?
Definitely I definitely wouldn’t hang out with somebody didn’t know whether or not the microphone is on these kids are not gonna want your device if one person in the circle is a jerk
i immediately knew he was the joker when he took off his mask and revealed he was the joker
😎👍
I figured it out when I saw the end credits and he said he was the Joker.
I knew straight away when it was the shot of him in the street holding the mask and that fact that he never utters a word during the heist.
Plus the mask he was wearing was the same kind of similar mask Caesar Romero wore in that one episode of Batman
Lol
In my opinion this is one of the best scenes in the film
One of the best scenes in cinema lol Christopher Nolan is a God xD
