Nothing bad about gig bar style lighting... It's definitely More of a budget and convenience to add effects with minimal effort... That's not a bad thing... But if we're being honest, that doesn't give necessarily the most professional or top-tier appearance... Because if you're being completely honest when you look at them, they scream concert lighting or school prom/School dance lighting...NOT elegance. So again not trying to bash them or saying they're bad... They were created with a purpose and a particular aesthetic in mind... And I just don't see them in the setups of top tier high-end private function djs

Hi dude, I've just bought a prime go and I'm a total novice with DMX, but from my very limited understanding, I can buy the soundswitch USB to DMX cable or the hardware controller and I can control any DMX lights from directly within the prime go WITHOUT the need for a laptop or PC or any other software? Have I understood this right or have I missed something important? Thanks man

old school vibe? what are you talking about dude, you act like your spinning techs with a ttm57 lmao. and the rane performer is HIM. its alot of fun to use and the effects sound really good! faders feel great aswell. (i have the 72 and 12s aswell, but the 12s will go batshit crazy with the bpm everyone couple of gigs, it soins out of control, so i decided to get the proformer and will sell the 12s)

If it was a concert when people just standing and admire the show i'd take 1st version. When dancing on some party i would take 2nd version. Does the control one unit has the option to change dynamics presets while playing live? Nice job btw :)

Like I said before. I both love this booth and hate it. It looks so good and have gotten quite a few bookings thanks to it. But it's so unwieldy to transport and handle that I now only offer it at a premium so that I can bring an assistent to help carry it.

My thoughts on the RANE Performer are as follows: I believe that the buyer would know before purchasing it if it is the right controller for them or not…most dj’s know ahead of time what features they like and dislike simply from doing research. However, I have a RANE Performer and I honestly haven’t had time to use it. I’m planning on playing with it after the long weekend and at that time I can have a better idea of what I like and dislike…I already know that one dislike for me is that it does not have the touch/search pad like the RANE One has…but three things that I like most about it are 1. The moving platters, 2. The size, and 3. The stems options because I use stems in almost all of my mixes.

I have the twelves and a seventy mixer, passed on the Rane One because I have the rane twelves and seventy mixer…😂 I then went for the rane four while keeping my turntables (the sx2 finally broke down) now it’s time to sell the rane four for the performer…..the One is a decent controller but very minimalist, and if you’re cool with that, keep on keeping on but…the performer is an all around better option. Honestly, if you don’t care about motorized jogs, the Four is a great controller as well. I happen to know a guy selling a Rane Four for a very reasonable price…😂

I’ve been having the Rane Four when it was first released. Rane Four is just perfect for stems. The mixes I perform on the Rane Four is way different. I can create my own blends and remixes on the fly much better. I’m just more creative on the Rane four. Plus the Fx that the Rane four has are awesome, When you split stems the track and use the filter roll on the vocals is a nice little remix I like to do on the fly or the onboard fx other than just echo. I love that controller so much I had to get the performer. I love motorized platters . That’s why I have the Rane 70 with the 12s but only use it for home use. The Rane one I use it for small gigs. 4 channel controllers like the Rane four or Roland 707m I use it for weddings, quinceañeras or bigger events just feel more comfortable using a 4 channel controller. My opinion for the Rane Four it’s a really fun machine. It has so many features. I’ve been using it for more than a year.

Trying to use Chauvet DiFi to connect to fixture, Chauvet has 16 channels, fixture has 8 wireless channels- how do I know when they're both on the same channel, without having to try every single combination? Many thanks!

I really like this booth, and i really want to invest in one. I think i really need something that i can rack my mics since i would use this for my sweet 16 and weddings or corporate events. I have a chrysler Pacifica, so i really better get the height to fit before investment. I will be at the DJ expo this year, so i hope to really compare my options. Any comment on a BUNN BOOTH that allows you to carry the sections in bags and has rack mounting for gear to stay in place all the time. Nice set up!

It's a cool concept, but I gave up using Sound Switch. It is very time-consuming to get set up.

Love the look of dj furniture, but I’ll stick to my controller flight case, table and facade for the rest of my career. Simple, cheaper, and more versatile.

Battery powered, light weight, and built in dmx and or control is the future of DJing.

Looks great! I still prefer the humpter since I can do turntables or controllers without needing separate tops. The downside to that is that you can’t prewire or transport with the gear in. Great review, I appreciate you reviewing this piece of kit and posting your thoughts on it

Thanks for the tip about the bag! I have the STX's and these, and I needed a good bag so I don't have to take the tripods on and off! I'm finding that the tripods on the BOTH kinda suck, so I'm rigging an adapter to use the tripods that the STX's came with. I'm hoping that bag is tall enough to accommodate. Great tip brother.

@DJDarylBennett I am extremely intrigued by Soundswitch - I am not sure if its possible to export song by song, but I would love to see a marketplace similar to what has happened with DJ Edits. Soundswitch programming per song around a baseline setup (movers, uplights, light sticks, etc). I would happily pay $20-30 per song for this, with maybe some bundles that are cheaper.
