- Join me as I unbox, review & demo the RCF Column Array Evox 12. This is one of the most popular column arrays for mobile wedding DJs and it's easy to see why. So cool that these come in white.

Great buy! Looking forward to hearing what you think of them after using them at a gig!
I'll definitely share an update! :D Next week a new gig log is dropping
Nice. I'm considering these for my small events.
I'm liking them so far! Although the Evolve 50's are much more convenient IMO for small events. These just give you the headroom for a medium events
I have a set of these, awesome speakers, have it for over 3 years now, still going strong. The roller wheels are starting to go now though, not sure where to get replacements. Great buy and sound alot bigger than it is, best to run it with the volume in rear at full.
Thanks for sharing, that is encouraging!
It's only been a month since I got my hands on some RCF Art 912s, and I'm very pleased with them. So, I'm considering the Evox 12 as my next equipment to replace the FBT c1000 and upgrade to a subwoofer from 12” to 15”. Thank you, Daryl, for your opinion; it's always a pleasure to hear your reviews.
Thank you Javier! I appreciate the support!
im lookinkg in to the fbt cs1000, how are they working for you ? any problems ? thanks in advance
Amazing speakers for 150 - 200 people, easy to transport, great look, easy to setup. I have the black one but white looks amazing for the weddings. And you can turn the tops to left and right or to the dancefloor is very good because who wants to sit and talk
Bingo
If those can't do 300 people ya'll getting ripped off.
@@chadnliz2k11 they probably can 🤷♂🤷♂but many events (especially weddings) don't have 300 ppl
I wanted this for my smaller events since that white is so clean and im sure its lighter but im just considering getting some 12” subs from qsc and sticking to my qsc tops and wait for them to drop the price on these because they TAXING for white versions 😭 and no case?! Mannn but still such a clean looking sound system.
I agree that they should provide a case for these prices! To be fair, the normal black ones are also pretty pricey
Awesome review! Is that an EV EKX system? 15sp/12p?
How would compare that to the Evox? I’m on the fence getting either the EV or the RCF. Would appreciate your opinion.
Yes it is! On Thursday I'll.have a full comparison
What is the best way to attach a PC to the speakers if you are not using a DJ Controller. but rather just using a regular mixer like a Yamaha MG06 for example using Virtual DJ on the PC only?
I don't think the MG06 has aux cord input, so I'd probably just use XLR to 1/8" and plug into the headphone jack of your laptop
@@DJDarylBennett - Thanks!
Great video where did you purchase this white system?

Hi Daryl, In your opinion, How do 2x RCF Evolve 12s stack up to : 2 PRX912 tops + 2x PRX 915 subs? I am renting this JBL set up regularly from a local business and love how they sound. I have no way to demo listen to RCFs in CT where I live. Please comment. Honestly I never knew about RCF as a company could be compared to top brands.
The evox 12 and the prx can both sound good; the prx is gonna be able to get louder. The evox 12 look sleeker and will be easier to setup/transport
Does the bass make the top turn during the night with loud volume?
I have heard this in a very large room.. two of the them with 150+ guests i can say they had more than enough head room .the room was filled between 95 - 100 db . They were seating at a comfortable 105db at 1meter away of comfortable music
It can yes, its happened to me now and then but not often.
@@DJ_Jarred I wish they made these like the old Mackie SRM series with the tightening knob to be tightened on the pole.
@@djdannybhtx indeed also the poles are not the best of quality, after a while the fasteners become worn also but they are minor gripes, the speaker itself is great, very warm hifi sounding speaker.
@DJ_Jarred yes it gave me a very warm sound . Like an allen and heath sound even though it was coming from a pioneer dj rev 5 . Good column array overall
Hi Daryl, how does these compare to PRX ONE? I am in the market for a pair of mobile DJ Speakers setup.
These are more expensive and louder and have a 15" sub compared to the PRX's 12". PRX One is more on par with the evolve 50.
@@DJDarylBennett Thank you! Appreciate the response 👍 keep up the good work. Your videos provide a lot of value !!

I have the Maui 28 G3, still prefer the look, and no cables in sight, also adjustable bass volume, but i'm sure the RCF Evox 12 go louder :-)
Yes it can but the Maui 44 can outblast everyone. And a traditional sub and top can out blast every column array
I ordered the LD G3s but almost bought the Evox 12. Space is a premium in my SUV and most of my weddings are no more than 100.
The downside though is they cant turn to different directions as easy like the Evox 12 :).
Hy
Congratulation from Hungary
Thanks
Just got a pair and compared them to my other column arrays and point source system and I got to say I’m let down 😞 Not sure if I’m deaf or if I’m just being influenced by influencers but these don’t sound that good. Better than evolve, yes, Maui no. Oh and they just announced their evox replacement that looks promising but not in white yet.
TBH, I agree with what I heard from someone else. The Maui is 15% louder, and the Evox is 15% more portable. I think the Evolve 50's DSP is the best sounding I've heard, but the evox do get louder and punch better with the 15" sub.
But they have their limits. And I definitely recommend trying them out first! I've had some luck with equing with an external mixer
Honestly the evolve 50's sound better to me at low volume... BUT I still upgraded to the EVOX bc the evolve 50's have serious drawbacks. (Can't tilt it, can't raise it, and they don't project far at all. Also the evox sound better than evolves at high volume (they don't distort.)
@unitedkrewdjs do you have any link to the announcement of the Evox replacements? I've been looking all over the web and haven't seeing anything official anywhere--just comments on videos. I need to make a purchase soon but don't know if I should wait.

I’m about to make a run of some white speakon cables. Let me know if you want a set.
Thank you! I already ordered from NLFX pro and received them today, else i would have taken you up on that
I just wish RCF would update their design. I like the sound but the dated pole look isn't my favorite. I have the Evox 8's and thinking about replacing those with the Maui LD 28 G3's because of the more modern design. But like you mentioned that's all subjective. Many people like the pole design because you can get it up higher and turn it.
Yeah I agree, the pole isn't my favorite, but I'm getting used to it!
How’s the weight of the sub?
Not too bad
He answers at 2:02.
So it's probably 65-70lbs
@@MisguidedICBM - 62lbs I believe
Bro how much money do you have??
Fortunate enough that DJing is generating decent money!
Lol😂
if you end up getting white cables (the ones that pug from the top to sub) sell me your balck ones, please? I have a pair of the bblack evox 12's
lol they might be cheaper and easier to ship on Amazon but I could look into it, I just got the white ones today, shoot me an email
@@DJDarylBennett done!
@@DjGCue71 lol the cables I got were WAAAY too thick, so much so that they're not usable :( so I'll have to hold onto mine for the time being
