These are 100% better with DMX control. You can slow it down, select a single color, and create way better effects than the auto modes can.
Can it do individual colors per spot or does an entire half always have the same color?

I totally agree, if you put this thing on a leash. I could definitely see a lot of cool effects for this one, especially hanging it upside down as a centrepiece. In that case probably more useful in fixed installations. I even think it can mimic a lot of old school halogen lamp rotation effects I’d love to be programming one of these.

If the speed can be slowed down and simplified it's actually pretty cool. But it has to be moderated a lot.

I bought the bigger brother of this light (3 heads, 6 lights per head) and I have to say I am disappointed. Its very big and heavy, the fast rotation almost has a "nauseating" effect. I have tried to get it in sound switch, but the controls seem to be limited.
I bought the betopper LM0910RG Spider light and prefer it much more for the kinds of shows I get asked to do lighting at (small rave type shows). You win some you lose some!
Yeah spider lights are a much better effect!
YOU ARE THE DMX EXPERT CAN YOU CONTROL EACH LEAD INDIVIDUALLY, IF YOU CAN YOU HAVE A DOUBLE SPOTLIGHT ON EACH FIXTURE WITH NO LIMITATION OF ROTATION, HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN, AND IF THE PARTY TURNS INTO A RAVE THEN YOU HAVE THE RAVE LIGHT OPTIONS, SO IF YOU CAN CONTROL IT AND YOU GET 2 OF THE AND MOUNT THEM THEN YOU HAVE 4 SPOT MOVING HEAD LIGHTS, ALL IT TAKE IS CONTROL
