The issue with china (specifically Australia's need to protect their trade routes from china) is that china wants to control all of the international waters between australia and china, basically going from Australia's primary trading partner, to Australia's ONLY trading partner. That sounds great to the chinese communist party (and all of the rich western politicians they own), but it would be terrible for Australia's economy which relies on imports from all over the world, not just china.

Changing passwords every month goes against standard security recommendations, as it promotes lazy passwords. It is better that you have a unique password for each account. Saving it to a password keychain is advised. Also, that isn't how two factor authentication works, a password and a security question are only one factor. The factors are something you know, something you have, and something you are. A password and a securiry question only cover "Something you know."
