This video shows the basic body before the back, paper maché and paint are applied. The cardboard can easily be substituted with EVE foam, to save you having to go through the paper maché process. For more detailed photos and information on how to get this far, please, like, follow and view the pictures on our Facebook page. Love the shell but you don't start from the beginning on how you build your turtle
Hello. I kind of do in part one... But I never intended to put these shells on CZcams anyway, it was all an afterthought. If you go to the Facebook (same name) page there is a detailed step by step guide (with photos) on how to build one in the photos section. I hope this helps. G$
What naughty Predator disliked this video!
I'm making my Queen costume... I'm afraid of the foam mat flooring. Won't it be too heavy? I want to wear it.. for many hours. I love the teeth. I am doing clear plastic bottles to start, I want them to look like glass. One 2 litre makes the big mouth.. and the small ones make the lil mouth inside.. Please tell me what you used for the teeth. The front mouth part is all paper mache. Back in the day I used to make pinatas. I'm also thinking of using leaves.. leaves from trees.. to make it vein y. I'm just on the crown part for now. Cardboard cut out of the back part of the crown... and just building on top and learning.... I've got plenty of time. Any advice would be appreciated. I love that you did the blue on black, that's too advanced for me. 🎈
Make sure you use thick cardboard. If you use the thin cardboard, it wont have dimension. Also, use a GOOD hot glue gun. If you use the cheap stuff, you will have a hard time gluing everything together.
Hello! Beautiful work!!! Is it fragile? How to do it more strong?
Карина Антоненко hello. The cardboard it is made from is thick and its two layers so, yes it is strong.

Loved the look of this and going to an "under the water" themed party so attempted to make my own!
Omg that costume is amazing. I'm hopefully planning on making a Queen Xenomorph costume too but not sure it'll turn out that good...
I have a question do you know how to make the head of tmnt
The finish is a cheap store's own brand water based Dark Oak wood stain.
Hola¡! Me encantó Me gustaria saber el procedimiento para crear la estructura. Por favor¡!
what's the name of the finish you used

Thanks, looks easy and can't wait to make it for my costume!
thanks! i'll try it!
? when you put on the paper mache on the shell was the glue water down or did you keep the glue thick ?
great work how much to make me one?
+Angel Soler Thank you. Don't you want to have a go at making yourself? There is a step by step guide on our Facebook page, which explains everything in great detail. For you to start from scratch and have to buy a glue gun, glue sticks, knife, paints, paint brushes, straps, buckles and whether you used free to obtain cardboard, or used EVA floor mats for the shell, it would still work out cheaper, than me building one for you, and be a lot more fun too. This is why I made this video in the first place, as I thought the ones in the shops where to pricey for what you get.
Yeah true ill check it out thanks
+Angel SolerSorry. if you get stuck you can always ask. If you made it out of EVA floor mats it would be quicker, lighter, ad take out the boring time consuming papier mache stage, filling all the edges in. The acrylic paints work on the foam also.
great work how much to make me one ?
dude great work make me one ?
Could you show us how you did it? Or make one out of EVA foam?
+christopher “The Cheap Gamer” eckbold HI. Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while. there is a detail step by step guide on our Facebook page. I am toying with the idea of an EVA foam shell for myself, maybe for this coming Halloween.
that would be great i want to use it for LARP
I can't here a thing
Cool
you did a great job my son want a costume for Halloween this the best video I found thank for posting this video
Leonardo is cool
woah that's neat!
can you make a video showing how you did it? thanx
Hi Bella...If you go to my Facebook page of the same name I have just completed a step by step photo guide of how to make a shell.
Hi, I’m checking your Facebook profile but I can’t find step by step instruction anywhere. Any chances you can add it again? Thanks
How did you get the top and bottom pieces together? Mine won't stay :( :( :(
hello. I just hot glued them together. There are some supports inside the shell that hold it together a little more, but it was just hot glue, nothing special. If you're on Facebook, then go to The Cardboard Prop Company Facebook page...on there you will find more detailed pictures in the album section . Hope this helps. :)
Pls pls pleeeeaaaaseeeeeee do a tutorial or step by step please,, i want to do this for my boys ,,,, cuz the custome for halloween are so expensive :(
czcams.com/video/7ikhExoUIvk/video.html
@Estrella Avalos
You did a really great job! hopefully I will get some time to make this
I'm confused. Is the bottom piece all one piece? or did you cut them out and glue them back together? Also, how do you attach the front piece? (the piece with the straps) does it just stay on with hot glue?
it is 10 separate pieces all bent and curved over my knee then glued together to create the domed turtle shell shape. The front piece with the straps is hot glued in place then paper mache over the top to seal it. There are loads more detailed pictures on the Facebook page of the same name as this channel. :)
Thanks for responding! I did see the facebook photos, but I wasn't quite sure what was going on, might I suggest that you add a link to your facebook/G+/other platforms on your CZcams channel? (It would also probably be helpful to add it to the video descriptions in your case) ;)
Thanks for that :)
The Cardboard Prop Company No problem! I do digital marketing and advertising for a living ;) I'm totally going to attempt this project, I'll let you know how it goes...unless it goes horribly, in which case I would burn the evidence :V
+eminatic So how did it go?
do u put paper mache on after u glue the top parts or after your done with everything.
hi you make the the base first. Then glue the smaller segments over the top of these and then paper mache over the top. If you go to my Facebook page The Cardboard Prop Company, there are loads if more detailed photos on that. :)
Thank you!
hi can you plz explain to me how you made the shell..
hello...if you go to my Facebook page of the same name as this channel, there's more step by step photos and information on that. :)

Hello. If you pop over to our Facebook page, there is a full detailed step by step photo album there, which will show you how to construct the shell. You can always swap the cardboard for EVA foam and save having to papier maché it before painting. G -----Original Message-----
great job it looks like a real shell
