This is over simplified but honestly the people complaining about people who do this or complain they are making property expensive have no damn clue and probably wouldnt buy a house if they were affordable. It doesnt take a rich family, there is some chance and luck involved though . If you were able to spend your 20s in a family home youre already capable of doing this. Most people think they have to move out and rent a place as soon as they can and some parents are just terrible parents who will kick their kids out as soon as legally possible or just do shitty things to force their kid out. Alot of people choose to pursue an academic education that almosts costs a house with no guarantees of work. Theres no simple answer to why property is expensive too. But its easy to shift the blame. I left school early, didnt pursue an academic degree. I joined the labour force doing hard labout for the last decade, you could argue i took the hard path but i couod retire tommorow if i wanted and im 31. You are the sum of all your decisions and choices. Dont blame anything else you couod be anything you want if you work towards it. Being born into a rich family is no gaurantee for success and being born into a poor family doesnt mean youll stay poor.

Thats not how it works you still owe the mortgage for the 1st house unless its really cheap. No banks gonna give you 5 or 6 30yr mortgages. If your renters move out or dont pay the rent like during covid then your screwed.

And this is why its impossible for first home owners to get into the market.
