I've been with my fiance 3 years. His effort was about the first month. We still don't live together because he doesn't feel the need to. The only reason we're engaged is because he started saying he wants to get married next fall and I said well if you're already setting a timeline for marriage doesn't that mean we're engaged? And he said yeah I guess so. But if I wanted a ring I had to buy it myself. We don't go on dates anymore. He comes over at night and we watch TV, sleep, maybe sex, then we both get up and go to work in the morning. It's like we've been married 40 years. And if another man gives me attention, he doesn't up his game. He just pouts about it.

A player or cheater never changed. I know a man divorced twice for being a cheater/player. Until he met his dream girl. A beauty queen, sexy, intelligent and super gorgeous. He married her immediately. Now they have a daughter, and he’s back to his old self. Cheater and player. Her gorgeous wife is now like a lion fighting for husband for having always affair to other women. So sad for that gorgeous wife. She has miserable life with him.

I have been talking to a guy who presents with this complex. It’s sad because I know it comes from a place of bitterness and loneliness. I sometimes think some of them have social inadequacies and are afraid to be open and vulnerable…so they choose to take it out on women because we’re the easier target. Similar to a predator, but utilizes a different approach

Listening to this was the reassurance I needed. My ex wanted to keep me as his "friend" After the fact he disappointed me in our relationship and I told him I don't keep exes as friends. After telling him I don't want to be his friend, he cleared his throat and I can tell he was upset. He could have never pursued me if he knew he wasn't capable of being in a relationship.

Thanks for this video and many others! It happened to me recently to meet a man at a party. He asked me to go to his place that night. Obviously, I refused. Then, the next day, he asked me to go and meet his mother.😃 We are in our 50s. I said I'll do this later on I prefer first meeting to be just 2 of us. Saturday afternoon, he invited me to go and sleep over, no matter that he knew I'll meet some friends. Just answered in a nice way that I'll go out, invited him to join us, and asked him to let me know earlier in the future. Long story short, he quit after only one week.😅

He said I was being mean because I said don’t call me at night and he said he lost the competition when I got another boyfriend who I liked better. One thing ive learned in the past year of dealing with what i believe is a narcissist, is that when you start to feel confused about "what youre doing wrong" or "why this isnt working", you're being manipulated. Those are your Spidey senses telling to gtf out. Trust your intuition! Youre not uneasy for no reason. Youre not crazy. And you will go through a LOT more suffering and pain if you stick around to "make it work".

So true, for men and women. Honestly wish I had this wisdom sooner but it’s not too late for me to have an amazing life even now, thank goodness. Truth hurts, but acknowledging it and moving on really does free you up to find better.

Men assume they understand women when they actually haven't got a clue. They judge women as if they were men. Men are dim.

I think we need to normalize saying “thank you” after rejection. Hey, thank you man, for not wasting my time. Often it’s a case of the guy not wanting to hurt your feelings but honestly I’d rather be rejected than have someone waste my time.
