Looking to build everything, instead of buying it all, if it can be built I will focus on the Necessary projects first and Most projects for beginners require clamps! so finding the easy/beginner builds for clamps is a small mission, am yet to build a table! Not getting a head of myself, making plans from start to a potential finished shed is simple, also yet to get a shed lol focused on fishing videos for my break this year (2023-2024), give the mind something to chew on rather then the garbage that television and out news feeds spew out 24/7 day in day out. What are your goals for the next 10 years? My dad built almost everything he needed, did I bother to ask him how he did these things? Sadly no, now its all about learning through videos, the big collection of magazines and DVDs he left me. Will need to buy yearly subscriptions to the best simple to understand magazines. For the time being its Clamps so I can build other things, a table is not mandatory but they do help!

The problem with plans for clamp carts is the carts look good but you have to design around the size clamps you use in your shop. One size doesn't always fit. It is cool thumbs up

Have you any idea what that wood type you used at 10'29" is? It looks like quite a tough hard wood. Thanks. I'm more a metal person than wood. I would have upgraded to a thicker metal bar stock for the clamp spine. Possibly taper the tips of the split pins on a grinder. It would help on insertion through the metal bar. It might be worth getting in a ream for the split pin size. To get the holes in the metal bars perfectly to size - drills are seldom spot on.

Not bad ,not bad at all!

Just used a HVLP gun for the first time today, I apparently went overkill, I took the whole thing apart. The flow control valve, I took the internal part where the needle goes out (and there was an o-ring that came out with it. I am assuming next time I can leave more of it together. I only had a can of cleaner I picked up that was made for cleaning these, so I didn't have a bucket to soak in. Assuming Laquor Thinner is the best stuff to use? A last step for me was using compressed air to blow everything out from every direction. I'll have to see how well I did next time I go to use it.

I right away said before starting the video, that cabinet looks like an aquarium stand. Spot on as I build 3 from scratch for my setups, 2 reef - 1 discus setup. Looks freaking beautiful with an eye for details. DIYs are always interesting, specifically the final project is revealed.

Great walk through Matt. Thank you. I'm assuming this process is also the same for automotive paint. I use lacquer thinner to clean...but never have used a lubricant.

What dimensions did you use for the wood.

Love it. I like the auto paint and the use of pearl. Got my wheels spinning. Question have you tried mixing a matte and satin clear coat together to split the finish?

I saved this almost exact same peice from the garbage pile this week, only mine is definitely more gorgeous lol. Its an immaculate piece... I've been eyeing it all week, and been trying to convince my hubby to help me bring it home. Finally he agreed today, although its been out in the rain now. So the wood on the top is a little more rattered, but still i. phenomenal condition. Any advice for restoring a similar piece, when the wood grain has begun to separate a little due to moisture? Seems to be solid wood.
