The best. She'll remember those shelves her whole life. I had a big cork board in my room when I was growing up. 8' wide and 5' tall I think. It had a mirror plate with my name on it.

Great job! On your cross-cut jig, I assume that's some sandpaper you've got on the edge to keep the pieces from sliding, or is it some other material? And how is that fixed to the sled itself? I tend to use a sacrificial piece for chip out prevention, but since we've got the same jig here, I'm curious how others are using it.

It's sticky backed sand paper. I was having a problem with my parts sliding a little bit when cross cutting them, giving me skewed edges. The sand paper fixed that. I've been meaning to make a sacrificial fence for it.

Hopefully your kid isn't like mine, I've made them bookshelves for there stuff and not even like an hour later there are no books on the shelves lol. Everywhere else but the shelves lol. Cool project though.
