Am I the only one who would be really upset if she were to portray Elphaba? The casting for the movie should be kept within the wicked family. I've waited far too long for Hollywood to mess this up as they do with everything else. I should not be crying this hard right now... but i am...

I can already see Lea Michele painted in green. It won't be hard for her to transform from being a student to a more mature character, she's not old nor young, just perfect. And Let's not forget that this was recorded 7 years ago, so if Lea can sing this song this good already, what more is it now? She recorded their hit cover of "Defying Gravity" 6 years ago and I can say that she's already matured a lot and her voice got deeper, fuller, better and more technical after comparing it to her last year's version of it. And no offense but for my ear, her voice was always better than Idina when I listened to their duets (I Dreamed A Dream, Somewhere, etc, and even their Let It Go versions) I dunno why, maybe because I can feel the strain that Idina's suffering when she's singing.

I think she's really good at singing! But I still think if they make a Wicked Movie, Idina should play Elphaba. Idina's barely even aged at all since she did wicked anyway! But I really think she would make a great Nessa. She has the resemblence to Idina that would make it seem like they could actually be sisters, and she has a nice, sweet and pretty voice that is perfect for Nessa.

Alright, if Lea doesn't have vocal power to sing Elphie, why was she on broadway? Why does she even have a career as a singer/actress? Her voice has definitely changed since this video was recorded and she has a fuller sound. I personally adore lea and the ground she walks and would definitely prefer to see a trained Broadway actress than see some Hollywood actor who tries play a character who has a significant meaning in the theatre(Russel Crowe!:P) jk point is Lea has credit and can easily pull off elphaba :) nuff said
