David Wall is the current custodian of the famous '67 Mustang raced by Pete Geoghan in 1967, 68 & 69. "There not much use having a race car that sits in a museum, we're all about racing the cars.
"Back in the day...Pete was the only guy to win three championships in a row in the same car, same driver."

This particular Valiant Charger E49 is a 'Bathurst Special'. In order to qualify for racing at Bathurst, manufacturers had to sell a certain number of cars in order to pass the homologation requirements. The beautiful thing about race cars back then was you were able to buy on Monday what you watched race on Sunday. APOLOGY: Ed talks about the 6 Pack relating to the six cylinders when in actual...

Bob has a long history with Ralliart Australia and was personally responsible for the development of all the rally and safari cars from 1998 to 2003. This film is a fabulous insight into the advanced technology and engineering in the top class of rally in the day.

CarTorque Series 2 - #5 Valvoline Sprint Car with Max Dumesny
zhlédnutí 25KPřed 9 lety
'It's pretty much stomp & steer' according to Australian Sprint Car legend Max Dumesny, but the truth is muscling a 600kg, 900hp winged sprint on a clay track with a pack of other mental drivers isn't as easy as it sounds. Multiple championship winning driver Max takes us on a tour through his famous #5 Valvoline weapon. Thanks for sharing Max.
I remember the Police had them for one or two years
The last win was a series!
And not one piece of trim lines up with the other. Terribly built.
The argument as to whether a Phase 1 existed is the same as the Holden FX.Neither existed in the accepted form. The first Falcon GTHO was just that.....an XW GT HO.These had a 351 Windsor motor.Later in this lineage it came with a 351 Cleveland motor. These cars are often called SERIES 1 1/2 & generally accepted as such. These were then followed by the officially designated GTHO Phase 2 &,a little later, the XY GT HO Phase 3 (111). The Holden FX was a 48/215 & became colloquially known as the FX as being the predecessor of the officially identified FJ Holden. Time often accepts popular identifications of vehicles that never actually existed, but everyone recognises the terminologies commonly used.
wich front bumper is it ? or custom made ?
Outstanding Australian Automotive recreation - the Berlinetta has been one of my all time favorites, since I saw a photo of it, many years ago, and could not believe is was built in 1939 - I thought it had to be a misprint. So advanced and so beautiful.
Donde lo hacen ?
My favourite car in the was never the fastest 4 door in the world There was a car in europe that was faster
Tempero makes great cars. Go kiwi!
Gee, fond memories. There some amazing cars around where I grew up. Unfortunately I was a couple of years away from driving. There was a green Phase 3, a genuine orange A9X, an XU1 and my favourite... my mate's dad had a beautiful 396 big block Camaro. No wonder I loved cars!
We went up to lakeside in 1970 to see pete's mustang and norm beechy in the 350 monaro do their thing what an experience ... + getting out of lakeside in those days after watching the speedsters ... you could have walked out quicker
Bo doubt this cost him alot, but it's nice of him to be open about not being able to afford it initially. He's human like the rest of us and not one of these collectors who could buy anything.
Lamborghini colours are for lambos looks cheap on a Torry
Simplicity, style, speed and comfort in one package. Lovely.
He lost some of my respect when he called an obviously mid-engine car "rear engine" @ 0:52 I'll be happy to forgive him if he were to give me a duplicate car.
Impressive Corvette!
Incredible restoration, probably my favourite car of all time, I remember an old B&W tv documentary on the BBC (in UK) showing one doing a slalom between traffic cones and it hardly getting out of shape, just like those agility dogs at dog shows of today. Well done guys!
Just came across this, stunning looking Lotus, can i ask what make and size is your steering wheel, its exactly what im looking for for my own one
“ It was a quick car , these days it’s not particularly quick” ! Compared to what tho. It was 43 year old technology when this came out. The bloody thing was still as quick as 2002 SS commodore with a 5.7 litre gen 3. Exceptional effort in my book.
It's as if the E38 big tank never existed...
amazinggggggggg wow thats a legedary rally evo oh my god majestic king of rally, this video published in 2015 but watching it int 2023 bruh whatttttt. i was late to the party but still i do have evo since i was born but learning more about it.
Looks like a competition front sway bar thicker
0-100 kph?
Nice story
Great example and a true enthusiast!
Gricey had this livery at '83! Bathutst!
Had Holden put together an affordable 427 Monaro, they would have sold plenty. Very cool part of Australian automotive history.
The most beautiful cars ever
MY dad sold Paul Newman HU 40 in 1977. Paul came & personally bought that T332 from my dad in Novato & trailered it off in our enclosed trailered to S. CA & converted the car into the Red Bud Spider that KeKe wrecked at Mosport a year later. We did not ever have a MSG ingnition on board... Great video. BTW I have tons of pics & many of our Ex-Sheckter T330 car we took to the LBGP in 1975 too if you'd like
It may have won 3 championships but, those titles were single race events, not national series events.
Sad times we live in. Fortunate enough to own an E49, then posts a video online full of misinformation about them. Sad times. Should probably trade it on a HSV, more his style IMO.
It is amazing that people don't know sarcasm when they see it. Just for the record, yes, my father did actually work at Chrysler, in both the Lonsdale, & Tonsley Park plants as required. He had a lot to do with the development of the Australian built chargers. The most forgotten charger is the E37.
e37 was smaller carbs ?? 3 speed i had a a e38
@@rtcharger7484 e37 had a 245 with triple Weber carbs. I believe they were the same as the e38.

Now, just imagine the Phase 4..................
This car is not quite the same shape as the original, there are many reasons for this, not the least being that the production engine was bigger than the race engine and thus the body is longer. Two videos showing the original: First, a clip from Victory By Design shows Alain de Cadenet (15 times Le Mans competitor) driving the original, and I mean driving! czcams.com/video/VMP7fW7tj3w/video.html The entire Jaguar episode is on CZcams and is essential viewing czcams.com/video/DRoNxWRm-kQ/video.html The entire series is on CZcams in varying quality. The Porsche one was the first made and not that good apart from the driver practicing the Targa Florio at speed on a normal day, dodging a horse and cart in a village, you know that sort of thing. The rest of the series is fantastic, I have no idea how they got people to lend them those irreplaceable cars and then let them drive them like that. The second begins with a part of the video shot of XJ13 just before Norman crashed it, the rest is another replica czcams.com/video/B_HG5Ak0FHo/video.html
I believe that there were two XJ13s built but one was demolished in an accident when a wheel collapsed.
No, just the one, a number of years after it was crashed by Norman Dewis, it was rebuilt. There are a number of sources of accurate information on the car. Neville Swales is one source. He actually bought one of the five original quad cam V12s built by Jaguar off German Ebay. He then proceeded to build a very accurate replica around the original engine, using original drawings and photos, many hours in the archive. He now builds close (improved) replicas of the original quad cam V12.
Stupenda il colore rosso non è il più adatto
They were hard to pass...because they took up most of the track...as did most of these old dinosaurs
Put it up against Fury's Turbo Bluebird
Was Furys' car around in '72 ?
Sorry guys they are way too much money keep it
Why didnt they import the bog standard versions out to Australia ?
Absolutely sensational job well done Steve, your descriptive talk at Jerry's Cafe was inspiring. What a great auto historic story. Good stuff for a great car.

Some say the most beautiful car ever is the E- Type, some say its the F40, some say this Jaguar XJ13, but I have to disagree with them all, because my first car was a 1300 corsa which was the only car I could afford and which gave me my freedom to take me and my family to the park or the beach. It gave us freedom which we hadn't had before . Nah , thats all bullshit its the Jag by a mile. lol
This is a magnificent car. A beauty that is manifested by the hand made legacy of British Sport cars from an era of craftsman that sadly, the world has almost completely lost. Hopefully gentleman as yourself will work to keep this type of engineering from disappearing. Well done Sir!!!

I owned an RX2 in California in 1980 or so. I was driving it one night (ok, I was at the pub and had a few beers) and got out into the country a bit and decided to string out second gear before I went to 3rd. I couldn't believe what happened - at a certain rpm, it was as if it got fired out of a gun...I laughed out loud at my discovery! It was like Jekyl and Hyde!
HEY CHARGER ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
That is one sweet ass Jaguar. Cheers!
