Great haul, those croissants look like they will be delicious and a bargain !
Great haul!
Thank you!
Do you know if you can buy the frozen croissants at Costco? (We don't have Sam's membership) because YUM 😍 .... I found we didn't love hard wheat berries and a friend suggested Spelt. I enjoy baking it better - and it's usually cheaper . I buy it through Azure.
Costco does sell them! I’m not sure the price, though.
Great haul❤
Ye gud❤
Where do you get your chocolate chips from?
I used to get them from Azure Standard, but lately I’ve been getting them in bulk from Winco!
That was so relaxing to watch, and those bagels looked yummy! ❤
Thank you so much!
I wanted to send an email, but I do not see an email listed in your channel description!?
That would be a good thing to add! 🤦🏽♀️😂 lozanopham@yahoo.com
@@Thetravelinghomesteaders ha! you're welcome ;) off to send that email!
I love your videos.. the reality for me ( I have 3-sons all 2-yrs apart) was doing everything myself, plus working. Although my husband was present in our home he never lifted a hand to help for which at the time and over the next 36-years I thought was normal🤔 I can only blame myself for being with a man that had been spoiled his whole life.. I accomplished my goal of staying with him and raising our boys in a home with both parents. ( I knew no different all those years that the thinking as a wife you did everything) anyhow..because I did acknowledge my husbands laziness I gave each son chores to do.. they did end up to be superior to tending to their wife and girlfriends.. better men then I could have only dreamed about.. Im glad to see that all of you work together as a family❤
I’m so sorry for your experience, but to have sons grow to be great men is an amazing accomplishment! I pray I get that blessing someday day!!
Such a great haul!
I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing!
You really do have the best of both worlds , fabulous travels and a beautiful home life ❤
Great haul , I went to a UK costco for the 1st time last week! It's like a whole other world in there with the size of things, I loved it 😂
I didn’t even know Costco had any stores in Europe!
Enjoyed the video 😊
Thank you 😁
Thanks for sharing. Saw some things from Costco I want to try. Blessings on your day!
Ooo!! I love when that happens!
Love your tea time 💕
Thank you!! It’s so much fun
Our Sam's Club doesn't carry the bigger pepperoni any more. Which is a bummer!
Oh no! Is this something we are going to love then not be able to get anymore?!
@@Thetravelinghomesteaders I hope not! I've seen it in other people's Sam's Club hauls, so maybe it's a regional thing? We haven't had it for the last 2 years. I'm hoping they bring it back to ours!
Thanks for sharing a little bit of your background with us. Traveling is not for me. I live in NYS in the beautiful country and my little piece of paradise that I call Peaceful Pines Homestead..I love to sit under one of many of my pine trees and take in the beauty of nature. I have a fruit orchard, to many berry bushes to mention, a small greenhouse with several raised beds and a backyard flock..I love the simple life which is why traveling isn’t my thing. 2-years ago my oldest and I went to visit my middle son that decided after doing his 4-yr term in the USMC settled in California when he met a girl, married with 3-babies of his own. I didn’t like California at all..lol..Where my son lives its a hour from LA and everything is dead, no lush green lawns, mountains that are dead looking..106* in June..nope..not for me! I told my son I don’t know how you want to live in such a different type of environment then what he was grew up in..his answer it’s warm, sunny year round..no mosquitoes..lol..He did get stationed while in the USMC in Japan for 3-years..he said it was so beautiful there..he swam the ocean with the sharks, literally have filmed him ..got his scuba diving certified card..and ate endless amounts of sushi which he loves..I have been to Las Vegas at age 12..Florida at age 20..South Carolina in 1988 when husband graduated bootcamp ,..it’s not for me I didn’t enjoy myself at all it’s to hot, I was sweating terrible and black flag out at 9:00 in the morning which means it was over 90* when my husband was graduating and the air is thick as thieves 🥵..North Carolina lived there (Husband is a USMC) for 3-months..not my thing I left my husband and came back home ,,lol, not really funny at the time..but..we did get back together years later..did visit Virginia while living in NC..2013 went to South Carolina to watch my son graduate from USMC bootcamp..then to Vermont that’s it..I do want to visit Mexico since my dil’s family is originally from there, owns agave fields, cows, lots of land, and as of last year my dil bought a piece of land there..other then that I have no desire to go anywhere else. So who takes care of your animals when you leave? We just have our chickens now since my precious pup passed last year..I could ask my brother or dad to take care of our chickens but never had to yet..
It sounds like you have such a beautiful life now! We have a few friends and family members who love on our animals when we are away, and it really helps so much!
Tip for the berries, as they start to turn freeze them! That's what we do :) even if it's a random berry or two, into a bag for smoothies! I do it with pineapple, melons, peaches, cherries... Alot of fruit. Also yogurt you can freeze in ice cub trays or another type of mold for smoothies. I just put it into a silicone mold and then pop them into a ziplock bag and you're good to go for smoothies as well!
Great ideas!!
Thanks. Garden season can get insane when you have littles especially. Keep a couple freezer meals for canning day.
That’s a great idea!
Love your pantries!
Thank you! That’s so kind!
I prefer that butter over kerigold!!!
It really is so good!
BLEACHED FLOUR DOES NOT FEED SOURDOUGH VERY WELL. I do use the Sam's bread flour for my bread but not to feed starter. I use Gold medal unbleached. I do not buy any organic.
Great point! I feed mine with all purpose unbleached or einkorn. Both work great!
@Thetravelinghomesteaders i thought you might but that bread flour from Sam's works great. I have been using it for years and you cannot beat the price!!
Aldi sells Bronze cut pasta
That’s awesome! Do you know if it’s slow dried??
I loved the Sam’s bread flour. It was my favorite of all the ones I’ve tried.
I have really loved it so far! What else have you tried?
Water Kefir is on my "to learn " list!
It is so easy and delicious!!
We call this beef dripping in the UK, you can buy bags of frozen chips (french fries but chunkier) already coated in it ! Certainly makes them tastier, are air-fryers popular over there ?
Lots of people live their air fryers here! Being able to buy frozen chips there already coated in this stuff really is making me question why I haven’t moved there yet!
Those look so crispy and delicious!
Thank you!!
18:30 18:31 ❤
Enjoyed the video and nice idea to do freezer meals like you do.
Thanks so much! I enjoy your content, too!!
We love Flan, thank you so much for making this video. Liked and Subbed!
That’s so kind! Thank you!!
I can attest to how delicious that flan is! Thank you for your willingness to share it with me ❤
How interesting, I had never heard of tomitios , not something I have seen in uk supermarkets , and flan here is usually a sponge base with fruit in a set jelly on top , we would call your dish a creme caramel, Love learning something new in the kitchen, thank you 😘
Flan is a staple dessert in Puertorican cousine. You're actually making a cheese flan. Which BTW is my family's favorite
It’s the best! My husband (Mexican and Guatemalan) hadn’t had one like this until I started making it, and it’s our favorite now, too! Thank you for the info! I didn’t know it was called something different
I love Flan..I have grown and made salsa verde and canned it but it came out tasting horrible not sure what I did wrong but I’m going to try your recipe. I also have canned pork carnitas but didn’t try that yet..lol..A question where did you buy your dress? I love it and it reminds me of my mom who loved the gauze material.
I’ve also canned carnitas and haven’t tried it yet! 😂 my dress is from target from a million years ago. Anytime I see a dress in this gauze material, I try to grab it! Love a breathable fabric!
Lovely to see how you use the freezer meals and how easy it is 😁
Thank you!!
Great job on the shelves ! wow 🤩Jam looks delicious 😋
Thank you!!
Hi Codi and family, First, please tell your son his new shelves are absolutely professional quality and beautiful! Jam looks delicious. I think I might try making for the first time with home grown strawberries from last years garden. Y'all enjoy your precious new addition while ya can, time flies and you'll blink and little Opal will be all grown up. Blessings from Alabama! ♥
Oh thank you! We are so proud of our boy and his building skills!!
Thanks..the butter is suppose to help the jam/jelly not create so much foam….The headspace is a 1/4-inch for jams and jellies or at least that is what I was taught in all my years of canning. Your kitchen your rules regardless..I have yet to make strawberry jam or jelly just made pie filling that I canned..I have always just canned mostly blackcap jam-foraged as well as from my own yard) and peach rum jam )peaches from my trees) however..nothing in my opinion tops elderberry jam..oh my goodness..I have been growing elderberry bushes for many years for our cold and flu medicine..was always greedy with the berries strictly being used for medicine until a few years ago when I had had several gallons of cold n flu medicine already made so decided to make jam -hands down the best jam I have ever made so far!
That’s great info! Thanks!
Thank you for making this look easy enough that I'm actually thinking I could do it. 😂
😂 you can totally do it!!
We planted bell peppers and jalapeño peppers too close together one time and the bell peppers were hot
Great haul , your garden is going to be bountiful 😁
Lord willing! We are praying for that!
Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl. How exciting for your family to welcome a new member. It looks like you are getting so much done. There is so much work involved but really worth every effort, plus it's a great education for your kiddos. The ice cream custard looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing ❤😊
Wow you have done so much , absolutely love the swings you put up what a fantastic idea 🤩The ice-cream/custard looked delicious 😋
Congratulations on your new baby girl! Yes, homesteading is so worth living the simple life and growing your food. Starting a fruit orchard and berry bushes and grape vines is is rewarding..I started my edible/medicinal landscape 15 years ago..I love it! If you like asparagus I would add that now since it takes 3-years to grow before you can harvest..If into survivalist food aka Jerusalem artichokes and walking onions , potato onions are excellent to add.

You have no idea how many times I have referenced this video! I just love it so much. Can I ask you a question about your high schooler? Do you do labs for science or add to the history to get your hours for a credit in? How do you scale that? I love family learning but I am thinking maybe for science I will have to break off with my soon-to-be high schooler. I would love to know how you make that work.
We keep doing the same history, but I add to it. For high school, I’ll have them write essays or do more research into whatever we are reading about. As far as science goes, I pretty much do the same thing. As we learn together as a family, I just make the high school version a little more advanced. It’s a great way for us to be able to stay together as a family but not be on too low of a level for my high schooler! I hope that helps!!
Yes, and that's what I would like to do. I guess since she is my first one I want to make sure I'm having her do enough IF she chooses the college route. I suppose if she is paying attention and not cheating she is doing more than I did!
@@BrookeM-ig4vu same! 😂
I shared this with my little sister who is about to have her first baby. I'm super excited about the wrap advice from hobby lobby and you said those diapers where an Amazon brand? Those are great too!
I can’t for the life of me remember the brand, but I did just get them off of Amazon. They were around $25-$30 for a 4 pack!
Great advice, you certainly don't need half of what you are lead to believe, do you have a kettle ? in the UK lots of people just use boiling water from the kettle, in a jug, and pop the bottle in that to warm it up, doesn't take long either 😁
We do have a kettle! That’s a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing
Hi Burt and Kodi, What a wonderful video. A channel I would like to suggest is Growing with Grace. She has a very interesting way of raising chickens and ducks. Her channel is extremely informative! Y'all two are wo cute!!! Blessings ♥♥♥
Great suggestion! I’ll check them out!
