Eva won't do cruise pools either so you're in good company. She seems to think everybody is just standing around peeing in the pool and it grosses her out. I say that's what chlorine is for. Put the small bed pillows on floor, in front of each nightstand, if too bright. When we have the balcony with no couch, I put the desk chair in front of the balcony window to sit on. Also watch your head. Been on Carib P several times & always seem to hit my head, when using the frig, etc, on the shelf corners above. One time, our cabin guy said he’s getting a bike helmet, to clean that area in all his cabins! ~ellyn~

Motion sensor lights are common on all Princess ships. And yes, you had a larger than standard balcony - all the Caribe deck balconies on Grand class ships with Princess have the larger 9x9 half covered half uncovered balconies (not aft facing but on the sides).

Awesome video! I've never seen motion sensor lighting on a cruise before!

Thanks for the video! Cruising with Princess later this year and am happy to learn about this island. It seems pretty good, however, we were so very surprised and elated when we cruised with MSC and went to their private island. It consists of multiple places, many which are very private, the water is so calm and it's just gorgeous. Not too many of us seem to cruise with MSC (though not the case in Europe where we also cruised with them), but if you get a chance to go with MSC you might want to find a cruise that includes their private island. Nothing that we have seen from any other ship compares. Again, thank you for walking us through this private island, it's nice to see what it offers.

Was that Egyptian Zombie good? It sounded great. Spandex t-shirt update: When I tried it on, I put both arms in through the holes and started to try and pull it down. There was a second of panic as I was standing there, arms in the air, shirt tight around me, unable to move. Fortunately I did manage to get my arms down enough to pull it down. So I was able to get it on and off myself. Now if I was on a cruise and had eaten a few too many bread rolls or soft-serve ice cream cones I suspect I would need Eva's help. :) My biggest problem is that within 5 minutes of having it on I was over-heating. You said you were hot but I didn't really understand until I was standing there myself, wearing that torture device myself that I understood.

Cruises are usually full of the trashiest people. Lots of old nasty people looking for a "third"! 🤢

For me, I think I would like getting the cheers package so my drinks are paid for in advance and I'm sure I'd come close to hitting the break even. Some days more, some less. Other cruise lines seem to have higher priced drink packages, Carnival has a fair price, IMO. But if I'm seeing those prices and paying as I go, I can see me denying myself some of the drinks I would like to try. With the drink package, I believe I'd just enjoy m myself more, knowing it's already handled.
