ER is easily the best Fromsoft game. I dont think the sheer scale or the fact that mini bosses are reused are much of a problem, as ER still has much more unique fights than any other FS game and the Remembrance bosses are awesome and considering other than DS3, the non- DLC bosses in Soulsborne games are in general kinda shit imo and not even as fun as a Crucible Knight. It also has by far the best variety, the best story, best mechanics and also looks the best. Undisputed number 1 imo and the DLC will make it even better.

For me one of the negatives from sekiro is a positive for me, the "lack" of variety. I get overwhelmed by the amount of builds in other souls games, but in sekiro you moslty just have a sword and thats awesome from me.

Elden Ring was so disappointing for me, the fact that Sekiro, a game 1/5 of it's size, it's better should tell you enough. Ds3 was getting dumb already and they go and make Ds3 2 open world: electric boogaloo.

I feel like Gehrman fight is a souped up version of the Gwin fight.

Elden Ring succeeds at everything in attempts to do. It’s amazing that ER is designed to be an open world game, but can also be a linear Dark Souls experience if the player is skilled enough.

holy shit the first time i saw someone mention guardian ape the way I felt about it. this boss I fk*ng hate its guts it took me soo long to defeat this monster its crazy I watched countless fake youtube video just to find a way to skip this boss because it was sooo hard but eventually I did had to go the hard way and defeat him normally because I could not find a single skip for this video and it took me over a week playing like 3 to 4 hours a day to defeat this piece of shit monster and it cost me a new keyboard mouse and a monitor this farting monster to still this day I have PTSD from this boss

Bloodbornes strongest enemy is its camera and huge ass boss that blocks ur camera and doesnt let u heal or see their move

In my opinion great Shinobi is between 3rd and 2nd place between genechiro in my opinion the poison is just an extra added tool to keep pressure on the player my first spot goes to isshin

Great video! Couple of points... there is a grapple upgrade that you can use to pull yourself towards enimies and attacking them before you land... and makes the Gobyu fight wayyyy easier.

One thing you didn't mention that I believe is a plus for Gherman is that he's one of the only hunter vs hunter fights in the base game besides Gascan. Given that gasgoin is so fun for being a hunter fight it feels so nice to have one more at the end of the game

Am at the endgame of ER now and man is it just as good as ds1 So far though, Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring may have some flaws (izalith for ds1 and samey dungeon visuals for er), but the worlds constructed are so peak and those two are the ones im enjoying the most because of their engaging exploration. Ds2's areas didnt grab me as much because of the too bright areas for a Dark Souls game, however, it is a very experimental game with unique and varied areas (like that one pirate ship area, dragons aerie). Still amazing just not as interconnected. Ds3 is very linear yes, and some areas are kinda samey in palette but the individual lvl design is really good. Sekiro is surprisingly good, even more so than dark souls 3 which is funny because ive heard many times that sekiro is linear and was shocked at how somewhat more open it is than Ds3 I havent played bloodborne demons souls console exclusives 😔 My ranking would be: Ds2=Ds3<Sekiro<ER<DS1

I really love what they did with geni, the first time you fight he destroys you, then you get a rematch on top of the castle on more or less equal footing, then at end youre the one destroying poor ol geni

to me, no. 1 would be a difficult choice between Sekiro and Elden Ring. While I do think at its peak Elden Ring is even better than Sekiro, it does have some pretty annoying if not just totally unfrait moments; while Sekiro is consistently amazing from start to finish, literally not a single bad boss fight there.

i have yet to finish bloodborne (i still have lady maria, orphan of Kos and lawrence to kill, plus moon presence) but i never understood why amelia was hated in the community i played the whole game with the cane, and fought most of the boss being underlevelled, but she was not that hard? i don't know but still, great video, and even if he's not my fav, ludwig is, i dare to say, a beast 🤣🤣

Literally played all of the soulsborne series several times each, over 3000hrs overall, and still the most enjoyable, ER and DS3 aren't even close , they are pretty hollow games tbh. Faster doesn't mean better.

Elden ring should have had better bosses with less health and more human the only thing hard about bosses isn’t their skill and move set it’s input reading, an unreasonable amount of health and spam moves and the elden beast shouldn’t be in the game or if he is should be less tanky less resistances and a separate boss not second stage

Its so strange, I can never convince myself to replay any of thr souls games, Elden Ring, or Bloodborne, yet I've played Sekiro and Lies of P countless times, and Hollow Knight has held my interest for ~450 hours.
