I really like how this episode explicitly shows us that Gon's hatred for Pitou was also just a way that his mind found to protect itself/avoid breaking down because of the enormous internal guilt he felt. It was easier for his child brain to hate her blindly than to hate himself.

The promised day is nearly upon us. We are going to witness their brain chemistry altered forever (as is everyone's, after 131)

I love Pouf being a menace. My favourite part about him is how his actions border around psychological manipulation, from the words he chooses to all of his plans. He is a true mastermind, my favourite bits of his psychological manipulation part are ofc these last stretch of eps, vs Morel and the confrontation with Pitou, Gon and Knuckle.

The Killua-Palm moment is really wholesome in this ep, knowing they both hated each other during the start.

*Killua does everything for Gon. * Gon haters: Omg he's so selfless. *Gon does everything for Kite. * Gon haters: You selfish little psycho.

131 is what everyone else always hypes up, but for me, this episode is where it's at. _This_ is the one that breaks me, far more than the next one. Not to say that 131 isn't fantastic as well, but absolutely nothing is more devastating to me personally than seeing Gon break down in tears like the very young child he is, contrary to how mature he acts before and after this (which is devastating in its own way, of course), unable to reconcile the fact that Kite is dead, going back and forth between blaming himself and blaming Pitou as his mind breaks, and then _begging_ for her to still heal him when she gives him false hope by going to fix her arm. To a lot of people, the importance of Gon and Kite's bond and why Gon is so driven over him and what happened to him becomes lost within the sheer length of this arc, with everything else going on and how little of it Kite is actually present in, as well as the fact that this adaptation doesn't show the full flashback of how they met and the full impact Kite had on him (yes I'm bitter about it every day), but this has always been the core motivation and what I myself was most anticipating and dreading, so finally reaching here, the moment when Gon learns the truth, is..... so utterly devastating. He's just a broken boy, with too much put on his shoulders and who lost too much, with no one there to help him 😭💔and this scene is why I cannot like Pitou at all, I'm sorry lol; before throwing tomatoes at me, yes I completely recognize and acknowledge her character development, she's a great character, but I still hate her 🙃 She definitely comes a long way, in such a short amount of time, from how she was when she first killed Kite, but I still don't think she's that sorry when she apologizes to Gon lmao, and her fixing her arm in front of him feels like an intentionally maliciously cruel prank. But again, she's just an ant, she's not human, so all of this is completely natural; it just goes to show that even as much as she's already evolved from when she was first born, she'd still need much more time than this to further understand human emotions. But as she is right now, she does not empathize with him or truly care at all; she's simply honest with him in return for letting her do what she needed to do with Komugi, while she prepares to kill him to protect the king, because in the end, protecting the king and his interests are all she truly cares about. Anyway I wish more people would acknowledge this episode, instead of just 131 and beyond. It's so good, and so underrated somehow; Gon's breakdown here is the most powerful and devastating moment in the entire show for me 😔💔

I really love this ending ‘cause Jimmy, his better and kinder side, has sacrificed himself so that both his personas, Saul Goodman and Gene Takavic) can remain in bars. Also, wished they kept the scene, Jimmy did the gun finger gesture to Kim and she actually did it back to him. Even if it wasn’t filmed, she was happy to see Jimmy himself. More happier than Saul. I really love the final ending to the Breaking Bad saga. It really does bring closure in some ways.

This is why the Hunter x Hunter 1999 anime is so much better than the 2011 anime at the beginning. Like the manga, We start off with Kite and Gon immediately so he means so much more to us when we see him again after Greed Island. I don’t know what they were thinking when they removed him from the 2nd adaptation of the series’s beginning.

Pitou is not the same as she was at the beginning when she killed Kite, at this point she evolved and has human feelings, her apologies and regret for the loss of Gon are sincere, but her duty as an ant is to protect Meruem. Masterful construction.

I think of the 4, only Meruem and Pitou have asked the name and apologized to a human. Pitou could have just turned around and killed Gon the moment she "knew" Komugi was safe.. But no, she preferred to honor her treatment with Gon and honestly explain the situation to him. As Lola said, she didn't have any need, but, as I've always said, she's not really evil, she just didn't understand human feelings until the King asked her to save Komugi. 7:06 You will not be disappointed in Welfin's great role, this is just one of his great plays.

I read somewhere that Kite had been much more of a father figure in Gon’s life, like being introduced earlier on and being part of the plot for a longer time, which I thought makes more sense as to why Gon was so devastated
