I'll comment since I own three Dylans, one Larry shirt in leather, and I wear them constantly (weather permitting, of course, given leather). They are by far my favorite cut of shirts, but I think that comes with two notable caveats: They require you to be somewhat comfortable with your body, and if you're not in an area where weird clothes are (semi-) normal, then you're probably going to feel a bit awkward in them. I'm in decent shape, and I live in an area where roughly half the businesses within a block of me are nightclubs; if either of those wasn't the case, then I probably wouldn't get nearly as much use out of them. That said, I do think that they're a great jumping-off point for anyone who wants to try more revealing clothes, since while they're definitely showing off the goods, they're not as blatant as one of the spider knits or cut-out tanks (the latter of which I saw someone wear two of a few months back, to my delight).
